Distance, accuracy, or consistency? Which of the three would you like to put more into your golf swing as of right now?

For me, I think I got the accuracy and distance on point. What I need now is to get more of those good swings and I'm trying to fix that by getting a better swing plane.

Definitely consistency. You can have poor accuracy or distance but still be able to manage your game and score well because you know your game and can find ways to play quality golf.

Career Bests:

9 Holes--37 @ The Fairways at Arrowhead-Front(+2)

18 Holes--80 @ Carroll Meadows Golf Course(+9)

Home Course:

1) The Fairways at Arrowhead

2) Mayfair Country Club

Without a doubt, it would be consistency.

As soon as I have that, I'm touring.

Accuracy. If I can hit the green from 150-180, I can make birdies.

At first I was going to go with consistency. What if you are a bad player though. I wouldn't want to be consistently bad. I'll take accuracy.

Accuracy. I'm just not hitting it very close right now.

If I choose accuracy, would that mean I hit accurately every shot? In other words, would I consistently hit it accurately?

In that case, I'd choose accuracy and get constancy as a bonus...

I had to pick consistency, get rid of a few bad holes today and I would have been high 70s/low 80s.

I think accuracy comes with being consistent so I chose accuracy.

I guess anyone can hit accurate shots once and a while but how often can they do it? Its a pretty tough choice between the two.

definitely consistency. If I know what is going to happen every time I swing the club, then I can score. Does me no good to be accurate if half the time I am hitting some kind of horrible shot.

I think that if you're consistent, you'll gain the other two because you'll understand your swing.

My philosophy on golf "We're not doing rocket science, here."

Mudfish, has a point, how can you actually have either distance or accuracy without consistancy? I think the poll should ask if you want distance or accuracy. In which case the answer for all of us should be accuracy.

It ain't bragging if you can do it.

You can have distance without consistency. But to be accurate...

The state of being accurate; freedom from mistakes You can't have that without consistency.

When you say accuracy, do you mean straight toward the target, regardless of whether there was proper distance control? Would that include thins, tops, and fatsies? Does distance imply hitting a long ball or distance control? Does consistency mean making the same mistake every time? This poll makes my head hurt.

It totally depends on where you are with your game I think. For me, on days when I am playing like I know I am capable I feel that my accuracy is really good and my distance is acceptable. So, I'd be a much lower handicap if I could get rid of those bad rounds every once in a while. That takes consistency.
