I play at a small 9 hole CC. For fun we pick a tee box and a green and make up a par. Its fun when you get a group of guys and the course is empty... Go from 1st tee box and hit for 5 green... and everyone agrees on a 8 for par... things like that.

That sounds really fun. How is the course empty? At my home course their's really no time where you could get out and do this.

Career Bests:

9 Holes--37 @ The Fairways at Arrowhead-Front(+2)

18 Holes--80 @ Carroll Meadows Golf Course(+9)

Home Course:

1) The Fairways at Arrowhead

2) Mayfair Country Club

my home course is very hard. 74.5/135 (i think the second number might be 140 im not sure tho) but as that course is it so hard to get variety because you never take driver out. every hole is a dog leg, #1,2,3,5,7,8,10,13,14,17,18 are all dog legs so even if i hit a different club off the tee i can still get the same shot. sometimes when im bored i do the thing someone said about hitting like from one tee to another green but it will be from like one side of the course to another and if you hit the ball onto say the 5th green you get to put it on the 6th tee box but you dont get a tee

Try playing from forward tees. I will usually do this from time to time. I usually get crap from my buddies but I told them to try it and not bring any of there woods or driver. I got the last laugh. Changes course a lot.

I play a bunch of different courses so I don't ever feel like I'm hitting the same shot over and over. And about once every other month I play a new course - so I might play my 'home' course but try to work on shots I know I will need at this new course (I usually scour the course website for yardages and hole layouts). Even when I do play my home course or courses I routinely play I will use different clubs. Lately, I've been working on learning my 4 iron so I've been using that off the tee a lot.

I don't know, I'm not at a point where every shot is perfect so in reality, each shot is different hahaha!

I keep my home course experience fresh by alternating which side of the rough I play my second out of, switching between the bunkers at the front or the back of the green for my third and randomly varying the cause of my three putt between leaving it way short and blowing it by.

I kind of have that issue myself. My home course there's a couple holes that in 6+ years of playing this course I just cannot remember the last time I hit the fairway. Then there's those holes where I could be having the absolute worst golf day and on these particular holes I still mash the ball right down the middle. It's really strange. No matter how bad I'm playing this hole I know for some reason I'm going to make a great swing from the tee and be in the fairway... only to shank my approach well right/left of the green, lol.
