I want to get a golf-brand visor, but I'm having a hard time finding any that don't have specific model advertisements on them. Ie, Titleist head wear almost always has "ProV1" on it, Ping has "G15" or "I15", Taylormade has "R9" and/or "Burner", etc. I don't play any of these models and have no immediate plans to. Regardless of if I did, I'd prefer to get something more classic-looking without the extra model-specific ads.

I know there's some variation amongst hats, but I prefer visors because I need as little material covering/touching my head as possible. I don't know hot much variation amongst visors there is.

I don't have any strong brand loyalty, but I'd like to avoid Taylormade. It seems too cliche.

On Titleist's website I found a category for visors . On that page there is one called "Garment Washed" which appears to be what I'm looking for. There was also "Tour" and "Tour Low Profile". Is there a difference between "Garment Washed", "Tour", and "Tour Low Profile", besides just the logos? I assume the "Tour" visor indicates that's what the sponsored pros wear?

Anyway, anything I should know about getting a visor? Any good specific ones sans-model names?

I'm pretty sure my Mizuno had hasn't a club model name listed on it. I'd be surprised if their visors had model names listed.

Does "Life is Good" make visors? Their hats are great, nice little logo and that's it.

I've seen Mizuno visors before and did not notice any models on them.

Regarding visors…

Tour visors have wide brims, high profiles, and come with loop adjustments for fit (as opposed to Velcro) – and, in my opinion, unless you have an exceptionally large cranium they don’t look all that great.

I prefer to don both the low profile and garment washed visors – but not necessarily at the same time though.

Yeah they make visors and hats. The particular store I have seen them in only had baby blue, but I have seen other colors online.

My favorite visor has the brand name on it without a ball or club logo on the side.......because my favorite brand is Jim Beam, and well they do one thing, back a bad round better at the end of the day. JMHO

    • That was a good watch. When I started working on pelvis in the backswing. I thought, this sounds contradictory to those leg straightening threads on the site. Erik has already done a correction. Then the last lesson we went more down the route of feeling the right knee gains flex. It doesn’t, but the feeling keeps my knee position in a good range. Also, I just realized how much extra work my right hip needed to do to stabilize the body with the proper weight shift. Those glute and hip stabilizers got worked. 🤣 I wish this evolution in the golf instruction happened 20 years ago! 😭

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: squirt to the right due to to much arm not enough turn. • The first issue Erik spoke about is something we worked on for my swing during both GEARS sessions. GEARS was showing my pelvis center moving towards the ball during the back swing. I wasn’t the 4” guy though! This forced me to correct on the downswing to give myself space. My hip rotation was to high as well. We corrected it by first getting the weight off my heels in my stance and getting my posture correct. Then the feel was shifting back into my right hip at a 45 degree angle. This kept my pelvis center from moving towards the ball at the start of the backswing. I also didn’t sway back as much as I felt I did because of the angle I was shifting. Feel Ain’t Real. The cool thing about GEARS is as you work on something you can see the exact (Real) change happening. On video, it is much harder to spot this issue because of the 2D nature of filming. But I know what to look for now. Sadly, I was hurt all last year and most of this year so I really haven’t been able to work on it much. I did do a lot of backswing work though.
