Just talked to my dad who is up in Chicago for tomorrows Saturday round...said the tournament will pretty much be done tomorrow by 3pm. wtf? why?

Most weekend rounds end near 6pm.

Then Sunday television coverage looks to be normal, from 2pm - 6pm. what gives?

Probably because they have to compete with college football coverage?

Michigan vs Notre Dame at 3:30pm. Close enough to Chicago to matter?

OP is in Indy, I would have thought it was obvious

This also explains why CBS gives up on golf after the Barclays in exchange for the Saturday afternoon tradition, the SEC on CBS

NBC was showing the Notre Dame game at 3:30 so only the early window was available for golf. They obviously wanted to show the leaders finish their round. You should know by now that TV controls all sports.
