I'd post it in "Equipment"... that's almost $250. For that money I think you can snipe a nice used set on eBay, like last year model or something. Even with shipping to UK - IMHO u'd be better off having a solid brand-name set than Dunlop's clubs. If you were to play tennis, that would be a different story

if you are looking for a deal on a full set -we are cutting some very sharp deals at GolfGods.

If you call Nic Thompson at 866-346-5355 - let him know that Mike Vanderscheuren told you to call. Let Nic know your budget and your game and he can assemble a full set, that's new and that's a substantial savings.

Yea i Pm-ed him saying that.

The Clubs i use now are quite old so probably any set would be better. ( There old ryder clubs, my Drivers a john letters clubs which is good though )

steven-
i suppose it depends on what you expect from your golf game. if all you want is to chase the ball around and you are not looking for any results, then this set would probably do fine. if, on the other hand, you expect to improve and you want your scores to reflect some game improvement, then you should look for putting together a set of clubs. this second requires you to hit alot of balls with as many different clubs and shafts to determine what works for you and what doesn't. how's the weather in scotland? we had snow last night and it is cold and blustery today. not ideal for a loop.

Well i am looking to improve..since the clubs i have now are old part from my driving. But im not spending 1000 pounds on clubs..since i dont have that money :D. Ill just have a look around and see what happens eh

steven,
check out someplace that deals with second hand clubs like golf club exchange (that is not an endorsement). they have many sets of older clubs at reasonable prices. it is my understanding alot of pros use the site to unload old sets they no longer want. i would suggest a set of titleist 962's or something similar. an excellent club for probably around $200. i think the point being, if you don't mind not playing the latest clubs, you can get an excellent set of clubs and not give up the farm. if you look at my bag you'll see a mix of old and new, more old than new. it's what works.

    • LIV golf was pretty close to me in 2023, at the same course that hosted the 2023 Senior PGA.  I didn't go to either one.  I do know a few people who went to the LIV event, and they said it was pretty well attended and pretty well run.  If I had free tickets, I might show up, but I'd probably have to drive 10 miles to park to get a shuttle to come back to within 5 miles of my house.
    • As long as "in town" means a drive of less than an hour, I'd probably go.  I've never actually been to a pro golf event, so it would be a novelty. Presumably, they'd be playing on a course that I'm not normally allowed to visit, so there would be an interest in just going to see the place. My tolerance for traffic is pretty minimal, so if massive headaches are predicted it would dampen my enthusiasm.
    • I would definitely buy tickets and go watch a round or two.
