I saw a youtube video yesterday mentioning that Hogan was a believer in rehearsing the swing with the right arm only, in order to ingrain the feel of the right arm's proper role in the swing.

So I tried it last night, and it's the most helpful drill I've ever tried. I was struggling getting the face square at first. So I swung with my right arm for a minute, until I felt I was making a coordinated swing with the arm extending through impact. Then I hit a ball, and with a smooth swing I hit an extremely long, high, slight draw.

Anyone else try this drill and find it to be a miracle worker?

Well i found that the left arm shows the backswing, the right arm show the follow through. My issue is when i put both hands on the club ;b

The pro i got to, got me into swinging with my right arm only, and i could stand down through the ball, get to my left side, and finish perfect. I put that damn left hand on the club, all hell brakes loose.

I have a great friend (handicap 2) who hits everything from 40 yards and less with just his right hand....no chunking ever! It does have some merit...just somewhat embarassing to do it in public...ha ha...he is great at it!

Interesting. I assume this is to keep the feeling of the triangle between the shoulders and arms? I'll try it out.

Works on alot of issues, but the main one for me is simply the right arm extension and correct right elbow movement, completely revolutionized my game a year or so back
