Well if that's the case, I'd also claim to show up, then have a mysterious accident with a vacuum cleaner and a hoola-hoop, not show, then collect 100G. Sweet deal.

But in all honesty they did earn it... I'd make them play to get it, but that's quite a short list to make.

I've read what others said about Phil and Tiger not showing and in all honesty I just think there's way too much money _off_ the course rather than on the course. Some of these guys get more to show up then to actually win... truly if you don't have the fire to win, it seems you can get your paycheck elsewhere so why show up?

I watched a week ago Ernie looking at what he'd have to do to make that final 30 cut. I personally liked watching someone who makes a lot of money actually have a burning desire to compete at the championship (I'm not saying he was the only one).

As I write this, I predict my man Vijay turns it on for Sunday!

Yeah but they have lots of expenses though

Are you being serious or having a joke regarding the expenses?

I have a good feeling I could make it work though, especially since all guys in The Tour Championship have earned a couple million already this season. I could definitely make it work.

i'm sure his 104,000 dollars just for turning up and going home would have easily covered his expenses, as thrash said anyone could all easily make it work.

    • Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.
    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.
