So remember how I posted that picture of Ryan Moore recently playing with the newPing S56 irons. Well now hes no longer with Scratch or part owner. This was released.

"Scratch Golf and Ryan Moore have amicably agreed to not extend our partnership beyond 2010. We appreciate all Ryan has done to help us grow our brand in 2010. It has been a great year for Ryan on the golf course and for Scratch Golf as a business. We wish him the best moving forward with his career.

The nature of our agreement dictates that Ryan will no longer hold any ownership interest in Scratch Golf. This decision will allow both Ryan and Scratch Golf to pursue other opportunities in the golf industry and on Tour. We hope Ryan will continue to play our clubs and we wish Ryan all the best in his future endeavors. Ryan's presence on the PGA Tour greatly enhanced the visibility of Scratch Golf in the minds of the public and opened many doors for our brand, for which we are very grateful. We want to thank Ryan for the attention he has brought to our brand this year and wish him great success in the years to come.

With Ryan's help, Scratch has seen more play on the PGA Tour in 2010 than in any previous season. Thanks to the quality of our products and the response from players worldwide, we expect our Tour and retail success to continue in 2011. If you have any questions feel free to email me at ari_techner@scratchgolf.com . "

Okay, so can we officially go back to calling Ryan Moore a frumpy weirdo? I think the general public has still never heard of Scratch Golf.

Not surprised. RM seems to enjoy his independence and freedom to dress how he likes and to play whatever equipment he feels like playing. Wouldn't be surprised to see him play PING long irons and Scratch wedges one week, all PINGS the next, maybe a week with Adams Idea pro clubs, then all Scratches the next. If RM were to sign with one of the big equipment manufacturers and exclusively play those clubs he would look hypocritical, but, wouldn't be surprised either.

I wonder what the reason is? I don't think he was under any contract to play a certain amount of their clubs, so why leave? Especially if you can promote a company that you held share in? I wonder if he's decided on taking a major sponsorship instead? He could put his foot in his mouth if he did, I suppose.

Funniest Line I heard this year was David Feherty's take on Ryan's Fashion Sense

I have no issue with how dude dresses. It's way cooler than the generic crap that most of the other guys on tour wear.

My issue with his clothing is, often, the FIT. Ryan's got a little extra love on him. That's cool. So do I. So do most guys. Thus, just like I'd say about a lady - WE DON'T NEED TO SEE YOUR BELLY, BUDDY. And your moobs aren't helping, either.

Don't we all strive for scratch golf? Or at least scratching while golfing.

Maybe he didn't like his name being attached to a company that has so many issues delivering product.

Maybe he was sick of wearing that ridiculous painters hat.

Are you talking about the Scratch hats he was wearing this season or the ones he wore last year (B.S. - Before Scratch)? I think his recent hats are one of the main reasons the average golf fan (i.e. those not closely following PGA Tour WITB propaganda at golfwrx) would even recognize the brand.

They're great hats and based on first hand reviews, great irons. I was almost disappointed they became so cool so fast - what goes up . . . I do hope Scratch finds another interesting guy to carry the torch. Someone who can string together a couple wins when it counts.

Ryan Moore has been one of my favorites since turning pro, but he hasn't quite lived up to his potential yet. He has still done very well for himself, but I did tag him as the "Next Big Thing" in 2005 or 2006. He hasn't been great to this point, but there is still plenty of time for him to make an impact. Maybe the latest sponsorship will push him to the next level. Adams has signed some solid guys the last couple years.

Ryan Moore now with Adams golf.

Sounds like a large payday to me.

I guess he "sold out" after all....The Dude's got bills to pay, or better said, Bills "that he would like to pay!!" :P
