I had my best numbers with the PX X7C3 against the kai'li, although I haven't hit the RIP or Kai'li. The feel was more noticeable than the numbers suggested, both shafts were similar.

There is actually another Mitsubishi shaft they offer the "ilma.

If I had to guess I would think most people would fall into the Mitsos. They aren't the same as the $300 aftermarket versions, they have softer tips and launch a bit higher and spin more, which is better for the average golfer. 'ilma - high launch kai'li - mid ahina - low/mid The RIP and PX are actually the "real" deal aftermarket versions and from most reviews I've read are more of a love it or hate it type reaction. I actually really like both of those shafts but I have a feeling most people will prefer the Mitsubishis. Check out this chart from Titleist which is a pretty useful tool on the shafts.

Driver: 910D3 - Oban Kiyoshi 75 X / 909D3 - Oban Devotion 7 X
3 Wood: R9 TP - Oban Devotion 8 05
Hybrid: 909H - Project X Graphite
Irons: 4-6 AP2 - Project X 6.5 / 7-W MB - Project X 6.5
Wedges: Scratch 1018 52/56/60 KBS Tour XPutter: SC Button Back Newport 34" / SC Del Mar 34" / SC SS Newport...

that chart is great! thanks...

I already have two drivers, however I really like the feel of the D3...seriously considering picking this up in the spring.  Gonna wait until I have the chance to get outside on a launch monitor and figure what shaft works best for this kids swing.

Because they are a female or a senior golfer, don't swing very hard and battle to get the ball up in the air. Higher launch and more spin means more distance for those folks.

I went with the 910D2 with the RIP 60X.  I had the RIP in my Supertri, and I love the feel, and the accuracy I get from this shaft.  I had the 909D3, and for me the the 910D2 is a great upgrade.

I really hate the idea of "adjustable  clubs".  Even the older TM ones with the adjustable weights, just don't like it.  The 909 Drivers aren't adjustable are they?

Any particular reason why you hate the idea of adjustable clubs or are you just going to say you don't like it without any explanation?

Just ordered a 910 D3 8.5deg w/the Project X shaft.  I was hitting a 907D2 9.5Deg with the UST shaft.

My old driver has some serious spin...highest number I saw today was ~3200.  Swing speed w/the 907 was 114-116MPH.

The 910 w/the PX shaft produced spin ~2400-2500 and around 108MPH.

Should have it in two weeks or so.

I would have like to have the RIP shaft work, I liked the looks of it.

Does anyone know if the driver includes the wrench?  I forgot to ask..

Thanks

I absolutely love my driver. I wanted the D2 at first, but the Titleist rep fit me to the D3 with the X-Stiff 73g Diamama shaft becasue it dropped my spin rate down about 300 rpms. I got to get out and play 3 holes with it this afternoon and its great. Right now I am at the A4 setting so my 9.5 head is actually set for 11*, but once it warms up Ill lower the setting so I can get a little less carry and more roll.

So the face looks good after 10 rounds? How many balls hit? I would guess at most 14 per round, 140 total...any range time? My fear is that range balls will beat the snot out of that finish. I suppose if you hit the sweet spot every time it wouldn't be that bad.

My luck would be one bad shot off the toe and there would be a constant reminder of a poor swing. Either way, I'm going to buy this driver...I think...I'm going to the range again tomorrow to hit it again.

Did it.........one big sandy ball mark out near the toe!  Dang it. Where's my sharpie?
