1. Do they have tee boxes?
2. Do they have fairways?
3. Do they have greens?

I try to avoid crowding... call ahead to make sure there's no 20-team tournament that day.

^^^This. Cost and how much I enjoy the course, are my main guidelines. But there are a few really inexpensive course around here that I just can't play because the lower price attracts those who are just looking for something to do while they pound beers for 4-5 hours.

my get up and go musta got up and went..

Mostly convenience of location and the length of the course. I stick to courses that offer tee boxes from about 6000-6100 yards.

proximity and based on how i like the layout of the course. my favorite course is a tougher one and i dont necessarily play it the best but i like it.

i have never looked at rating or slope of a course.

For the most part I determine where I'm going to play by price and if it is a course I haven't played. I like going to different courses and seeing what they have to offer. This was my second season of golf and I've played 20 courses so far. Now it starts getting tough to play new courses though because to play a new course I'm going to have to a decent distance. I play most of my golf at two nice nearby courses but I will jump on any opportunity I get to play a new course.

Career Bests:

9 Holes--37 @ The Fairways at Arrowhead-Front(+2)

18 Holes--80 @ Carroll Meadows Golf Course(+9)

Home Course:

1) The Fairways at Arrowhead

2) Mayfair Country Club
