No hybrid here, I have 3W, 5W, 3i. I tried a couple of hybrids and I just don't like them at this point. This is all subject to change in the future however.

This is the same reason why I still carry my 5W. I have been told people who sweep their woods, like I do, have a hard time hitting hybrids... I spent a good portion of a year trying to replace my 3 iron with a hybrid but never found one I liked... So I just put my 3 iron back in my bag as I know where that club goes for the most part.

Don't need one honestly.

+1, this is my setup, too. I like the 3-hybrid because it flys a little higher and lands softer than my 4-iron. I can hit it anywhere from 205-225, it's perfect for those long par-3s. The 4-iron carries about 190 for me, and I like to use it off the tee on short par-4s, plus if the fairway is dry, I'll get more run out of it over the hybrid. My 3-wood I use on the tee or from the fairway, my 'go zone' from the fairway with it is 230yds. I'll hit it 235-245yds off the tee.

I was using a 5-hybrid as a utility club/extra fairway wood but I didn't like it. It ballooned on me alot. I prefer the lower, more boring trajectory of my 3-iron which goes the same distance. I used to carry a V-steel but I did the same thing I did with the 5 hybrid and replaced it with an extra wedge.

Been using the 3-wood, 3, 4 & 5 Hybrid setup for a season now. Just replaced my 3 hybrid with a "less draw biased" TM Raylor Hybrid. To me this makes the 5-wood unnecessary and leaves me room at the other end to carry the wedges I like to play.

I am still a fan of the fairway woods over the hybrids myself. I have an R7 3 wood I hit well  and a Callaway 5 wood that I can hit about 220.

I seem to hook the hybrids for some reason.

have always used a 5w and even a 7w since i was given a set of big berthas (originals)...always felt comfortable with it more than a hybrid and the new diablo edge tours i picked up are just as reliable...

...i also have a 2i hybrid that i gamed for less than a 1/4 season...gathering dust.

Funny, I measured the clubs & I think I know why I have a harder time with fairway woods vs hybrids.     My Adams #2 hybrid is 1.25" shorter than my Adams 5 wood.      Maybe it's mental, but the 5W has alot more length hanging out there on the deck.      Realistically, it comes down to practice - I just need to put the time in on practicing the 5 wood (although I'm not sure the minor distance gained is worth it compared to the #2H ... although I vastly prefer the feel of the 5 wood off the tee).

I just aquired a 24 degree 9 wood to fill the gap between my 5 wood and 5 iron.  I have 3, 4, 5, & 6 Nike Sumo squared hybrids but I got to where my normal swing with them produced a big hook.  I found myself having to really adjust my swing to straighten out the ball flight, much less hit a fade.  I didn't like it that I was having to make such adjustments and I've always loved fairway woods so I finally got a higher lofted fairway wood.  I would have gotten a 7 wood but most 7 woods you see now days have 21 degrees of loft.  That's only 2 degrees weaker than my 5 wood and I worried about there not being enough of a gap between those 2 clubs.  Callaway still makes 9 woods and with the half inch shorter shaft than the 5 wood and 5 degrees more loft I hope that to better suit my needs.  I've still got my hybrids though if I ever want to change up my bag.

I went to a golf expo in late January, and a guy who runs a regional golf school gave me some swing tips. He recommends that his student use 5, 7 and 9 woods and dump the hybrids. He said, among other things, that FWs have more face bulge than Hs. The bulge creates a gearing effect, spinning the ball back toward center if you hit toward the toe or heel. Also, he said FWs have a deeper center of gravity, which helps get the ball up. Hybrids do this, I guess, because of the smaller head.

One thing on the higher loft FWs: Sometimes you end up with only a degree or two difference between a 5 and 7, or a 7 and 9 (problem w/early Callaways). I had looked at a couple of demo-bin Warbirds at the expo (clubheads pretty much new), but decided not to buy them. Those Warbird FWs just look like they're super rough-tamers.

Yo, brother!

I picked up a Raylor 19* this fall to replace a 5W that always missed to the left, and wouldn't stop - ran like a driver. Raylor flies straight and checks up with one hoppers into the green. I really like it, and may buy an R.22* if I can find one.

Raylor draws interesting discussion: Some pros say its a FW, others say it's an H. All I know is that club works great, and not just out of the rough.

I game a 5w i would be utterly lost without this club.I love it for second shots on par 5's and to tee off with on short-medium par4's.
