That was a phenomenal shot.  When he teed off, the announcers were wondering why he we to the right.  He wanted to have the ball in that position for the second shot.  That should be in the highlight reels all season.

Exactly why I'm a fan of his. Not afraid to be bold/creative.

I bet his caddie has anxiety attacks...

BTW, push-slice for sure. ;-) Not that anyone had any doubts...

10 feet after 2 shots on a hole close pushing 700 yards.... It just boggles the mind.

It does however reminds me of something that Nicklaus said last year during his tournament about the golf balls traveling absurd distances. I know Watson has incredible club head speed and freakish talent but it doesn't hurt to have golf balls that are manufactured with the latest materials, design, and manufacturing techniques.

That said it's still one of the top 10 shots I have ever seen.

Bubba's my new golf hero.

In the Bag:
Driver: Cleveland Launcher Ultralight XL 270

FW: Taylor Made 300 17 degree
3-PW: Mizuno MX-23

AW: Mizuno TP-T11 52/07 (Bent to 50)
SW: Mizuno TP-T11 56/10

LW: Mizuno TP-T11 60/05

Putter: Original Ping Zing

Ball: Wilson Staff FG Tour

That was really quite a shot.  To hit that big of a slice with the trouble left and not over slice it was unreal.  He is a very special player.

Incredible shot, it's the kind of shot I would top or hit fat and in both events end up with the ball rolling 30 yards forward.

I, like most people, can hit that shot shape without that much effort. BOR-ING.

Yeah, but Bubba did it on purpose.

Bill

I want to see him hit shots like that in person. I don't know how much different the game could be hitting 300+ yards off the deck.

Any stats on how many times that hole has been eagled? Who has been on in two?

He went after it again on 18 yesterday.  Thurs he had 305 to the hole; Fri he had 318.  Same shot shape with the driver, but on Fri he ended up just short of the green.
