I didn't think either of them played lights out golf. Poulter drove the ball well all day and Cink made alot of 15ft putts to halve holes that really saved him in the long run.

He must have read this thread last night. He did not take his hat off when shaking hand with YE Yang after losing. He just put his hand on the bill of his hat.

lol i did see the tan line on Cinks head i couldnt stop laughing. I picked Cink to win this match because after the ryder cup and the way he was putting for that event made me a believer. He didnt bring his best stuff but he managed to win. I hate Poulter i mean if your going to be cocky at least have a couple of wins under your belt he has one win. My opinion he hasnt done close to enough to walk around the course with his chest popped out. But thats why i was jumping up and down when Cink beat him i knew he would but then Cink looses to Y.E Yang come on. At least he has a major under his belt Ian cant say the same.

Yeah Poulter rates himself highly.

I think he once said it would be only him and Tiger one day......still waiting.

why all the poulter hating in this thread. I think hes a good golfer and is a super nice guy in interviews and a show I watched called "playing with the pros", super nice and helpful in the show to his playing partner

I saw this episode and my opinion of Poulter went up a lot, I wanted him to win this. I do think both players played well though.

You always see pictures of Poulter with sunglasses and some serious look, but he showed he was a normal nice guy in that playing lessons with the pros episode.

Like some of you I am not a big fan of watching Poulter on TV, pretty cocky. But, I did run into him in a hotel lobby one time and we was very nice and gracious in person.

What's more likely - that he behaved differently when he was knowingly being filmed or how he behaves when he goes off and curses and swears at people for nothing of any importance on the golf course when he's playing, or how he behaves in the heat of the moment on Twitter?

My opinion of Ian Poulter was cemented a long time ago when he flipped the bird at his golf ball and then said the "f" word about 10 times in front of kids because he missed a ten-foot putt. I've heard other stories as well. Now, I don't wish anything bad upon Ian, but if I had to choose being Cink and Poulter, I'm choosing Cink.

Ian is a good golfer he should be he is a pro but he isnt as good as he thinks. He has good style and is a awesome putter but if you talk the talk you need to walk the walk and he to this day hasnt shown much to back his talk up. Im talking about how he is on the course im sure he is a great guy off the course. Sams with Tiger if i judge him for what he did off the course i wouldnt be a fan but im judgeing what he does on the course not off.

Often enough. They're busy, so I try not to @mention them very often. Stewart Cink's wife also responded to me about the Pens-Thrashers last year and I got into a discussion on the Rules with a few players at one point.

You are aware that he won this event last year? Have you watched his Ryder Cup performances?

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

    • Day 2 March 13th, 2025 Hit a small bucket checking stuff on video. Mostly back to controlling swing length and right elbow.
    • Video 1 of 2025 Lower body is better. Right knee kicks out less. Left knee straightens better. I don’t have that knee bounce post impact. Backswing and downswing with the arms, needs a bit of work. Nice OTT move there. Video 2 of 2025 - hey I can keep it short.  back to trying to keep the swing shorter and control the right elbow. Lots of half backswing feel and very straight arms. Also trying to start the downswing sooner so the swing doesn’t go on forever with the turn. Got to limit it to 90 degrees shoulder and 45 degrees hips.
    • Day 236: did a stack session.
    • Day 164 - 2025-03-13 Got the new QuadMAX. Didn't get a chance to test it, but got to Golf Evolution about 45 minutes before lessons, so I did some backswing and downswing work in.
    • @klineka has already addressed this stuff, but as I said in my first answer… distance control is typically more important. Knowing exactly how far a ball will carry is huge.
