Where did you send it?  My Scotty needs a little attention itself..

If you don't mind telling..  How much is it setting ya back?

I'm jealous. I have always wanted to do this, but it is so expensive. one day, I will pull the trigger.

If you go to the Scotty website, it pretty much details this out. It is not cheap, but for the most part pretty reasonable.  A restoration starts at $145, but includes refinish, loft and lie adjust, new grip, new shaft if necessary, and a replacement headcover. Some of the additional options are reasonable, some not as much. (in my opinion)

Scotty cameron website... Yes i should have waited, but i was too excited :P

It put me back a pretty penny, but i think its worth it :)

The putter was only a year old when i sent it in. Squareback #1

I got "Lets Go Hokies" on the back stamped. my name on the front stamped "NAT"

Maroon and Orange paint fill (VT Hokie colors) along with 3 stamps, one in the center of the back dots, one in the front right dot, and one on the toe.

The stamps are: Lucky clover, junkyard dog, and money stamp. I also got the weights stamped as well.

  • 3 weeks later...

So, no pictures yet but their turnaround is lightning fast!

They received the putter on 3/17 and just sent me an email today that it was finished.

I'll have the putter tomorrow by 4:30 as they are overnighting it.

That's 12 days total and only 8 business days, i am truly shocked.

We're waaaiiiiiting.

I've been wanting to do this for a while, but simply don't want to be without my putter for very long.  If I knew I would get it back in 12 days I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Oh cool. I have a squareback #1 as well. I'm looking forward to seeing it! Mine is getting pretty beat up. Hmmmm???

Ooo, I've been wondering about it. I have an SS 2.7 which they don't make anymore.

And I got some nicks on the face from playing on an aerated green -_-  yes, dumb of me...

So $145 huh? Refinish, new grip , etc and overnight s.h included.

Not a bad deal considering the putter itself is $300

Yes yes, i know. It came in yesterday at 12:45 and it was 60* and sunny outside so i went straight to the course and didn't get a chance to take pictures :)

I'll post some on my lunch break today.

the custom paintfills, stamps etc,  some options and certain headcovers and grips are extra, though

    • Rule 1.2b refers you to a section in the Committee Procedures (Section 5I) that helps explain what a Code of Conduct may (and may not) do.  Defining acceptable behavior (including smoking) and applying Stroke of DQ penalties are certainly within the Committee's authority. That Code of Conduct certainly should be available, either in written form or in a webpage accessible to all.  It may not show up on the "standard local rules" for an organization, the "hard card", as it sounds like its a policy of this particular golf course. Assuming that's the case it should show up on the Notice to Players for this particular event.  If you can't find it, ask someone, send an email, try to find out.   In summary, yes the Committee can DQ (or withdraw) a Player for smoking, even before or between rounds.  But its up to you to go from there, communication is the key here.

    • Hmm... I not sure I completely understand. If the course has a no smoking policy, then he shouldn't smoke at the course.  I'm assuming since you are aware of the policy, it must be written down somewhere.  As far as getting disqualified from the tournament, I would think that would be up to the committee. But it feels like it is within their power to disqualify, so why take the chance?
