In your expirience if you own a Titleist driver: is the 910 really that much greater than a 909? I see lots of people with the 910 and I would like some opinions if I should dish out that kind of money for one....

Thanks

I have one, and like it a lot. Hits it nice and long for me, and feels better/different than every other driver i have used. it seems soft in the face allowing for better feel. Thats just my opinion of it, never hit the 909 so i couldnt compare it to that, but i am happy with the choice i made.

It is pretty similar to the 909, so you'll have to be the judge if it's worth a bit more for the adjustability.

How it feels can be individual, so I'd try them both before shopping.

I hit both and decided I could live with a nice used 909 for $150 rather then drop $400 for the 910.  Loving the 909 right now but if I ever get consistent enough with my driver to where fine tuning the ball flight via the adjustable head would be worthwhile I might spring for the 910.

The 910 is the first ever Titleist driver with an adjustable hosel ...... let's wait to see what happens, it would not be a big surprise if in maybe even a year customer experiences with the hosel might bring new ideas and views to be in the 911 or 912 driver ...... I have been hitting the 910 D3 at a demo day and I can imagine if you find it important to go from baby fade to straight or even to baby draw, the 910 can be a plus ....... I saw no difference in distance compared to my 909 D3.

On the otherhand I prefer the 909 D3 (0.5 open) and like to work the ball between baby fade and draw, to get the ball where I want it (uhhh..... not allways), but ..... I like to practice.

Anyway an adjustable hosel isn't going to cure a swing flaw.

The Titleist Custom Fitting ( 1 hour , with certified Titliest Fitter ) and choice of shafts during fitting will allow you to find the best combination for your driver ( for those who already have decent swing ) . I am not sure if the previous Titliest model can do that. If the 910 can only give you 10 yards more to your current 250 to 260 yards , it might not justified. Buy if it can give you some options on shaping your shot and 20 to 30 more yards , it might give you some help to your current game.

I went from the 909D2 to the 910D3 about a year ago. Both are nice drivers but I really prefer the 910D3. The (slightly) smaller look appeals to my eye better and I have gained distance and definately more accurate. I cant say I adjust the driver at all (A1 setting) as I am happy with the spin/launch/carry etc. I upgraded in the shaft to the Proforce V2 and therein lies the secret to it all I believe. Get the right shaft. I was willing to pay a lot more for an upgrade shaft (IF I NEEDED TOO) but the Proforce V2 was the one for me. I would have been happy with a stock shaft too but the numbers werent that great. Every time I pull this driver out of my bag it feels like a new toy, so yes it was definately worth the coin.

    • That makes more sense thanks.  I'll give it a go.  That other video really helps.  Will post another video once I practice it a bit and appreciate the help as always.
    • Day 25: range and putting session. Worked about an hour at the range. Filmed a bit - think some progress but need more. Then went and worked on putts within 10 feet for about 20 minutes.

    • Day 45 (22 Apr 26) - good friend wanted to play the Weds shootout. Glad we did as I had the most consistent round in a while - 38/41 for a 79 (first sub 80 in months): 27 putts, 9 pars (7 were up and down 1 putts), 8 bogies, 1 birdie and 0 dbls or worse!  This is the 1st full round where I’ve not had at least one dbl (or worse) and 0 penalties.  I also came 1 hole from having “no sixes” (bogied the par five 16th).  All the drills came together today for a solid round.
    • Day 568 - 2026-04-22 Created a 33-minute playlist and paused it while I stopped. I mostly did some backswing and a little downswing work with the mirror. This got me most of the way through the playlist, so then I chopped for a good 15 or 20 minutes.
