Don't know what made me think about this but it may end up ruining games all over this board. On the backswing do you inhale, exhale, or hold your breath? How about when putting? :-\

I don't even think about it. It is definitely not a conscious thing for me but I believe I inhale on the back swing and exhale on the downswing, I believe. For putting no set thing. Personally I wouldn't worry about it too much, just find what feels most comfortable to you and go with it.

Hold my breathe I'm pretty sure. Do the same batting and bowling in cricket. Same with serving in Tennis. Don't know why

For drives, I exhale on the backswing, and then burp, sneeze, and fart at the moment of clubface impact.  It gives me the extra oomph to really pound the ball.

More important things to think about when hitting the ball. So i have no idea what im doing!

Inhaling on your backswing (at least consciously) tends to expand your rib cage bs restrict your ability to make a full turn. I don't think I do it consciously but I'm pretty sure that I'm always exhaling on the back swing. It also a the subtlest effect of relaxing the muscles.

Priceless.

You must breath through your left nostril only in the backswing and exhale through the right on the downswing

One of my baseball teammates asked this in the 80s. We played $1 a hole and he asked this question on the first tee (I didn't know it was gamesmanship at the time). After a bad first hole, I asked him honestly on the second tee, "I've been thinking about that question and it turns out I inhale on the backswing and exhale on the down swing. What do you do?" We ended up about even for the day.

This doesn't work online. You have to ask the person you're playing with in person. :-)
