Let me just say that I am a golf ball snob. While in Ireland this past September a gentleman I was playing with told me about the MG ball. I was polite but not overly enthusiastic about trying one. Three weeks later a dozen MG balls were delivered to my house compliments of my new friend. So what the heck, I decided to try one. This morning I put my Prov V1 away and I used an MG ball and I was amazed at the distance and feel I was getting. If I didn't know better I would have thought that I was playing a very expensive ball. When I got home I actually ordered 10 boxes which cost me just $200.

What other fine MG regalia did you purchase, this person that obviously has no affiliation with the company.

A tour c4 was given to me by a guy I was paired up with on vacation. Feels just like the Pro v1. I am not the greatest golfer under the sun. I bought a dozen and gave a couple to my son the serious golfer (3 handicap) and he is now ordering for himself. As for the $12.00 dozen balls I could not tell you any thing about them, but the c4's I will use them from now on at half the price of Pro v"s

I am guessing that you lose a lot of balls when you play????

I play 2 rounds per week all year long and do not run through 5 dozen.

I first used these 3 years ago at a friend's suggestion, being a pro v1 snob before that day.  All I know is the cover feels the same on putts - soft and responsive -- and my distance is fine -- I'm sure a pro can tell and mg admits to a faew differences -- eg fewer dimples and even to a few yards less on testing if I recall -- but I like them and in my mind which is all that matters they play like pro v1s.

I love the MG balls.  I have played them for about 3 years.  I was introduced to them by some guys at my club.  I now play with MG's I buy or Pro v's that are gifts.  I can't tell the difference.

I've been playing the C4 for years.  Literally cannot tell the difference between it an a ProV.  Probly only have a 95mph driver speed. tho.  They also make a good glove.

Yeah, I've been playing their gloves all year ... they go for $5 on ebay (factory direct) with free shipping & are the real thin cabrietta leather, not synthetic - best deal I've ever seen on a golf glove.

I have purchased a couple of boxes of these balls.  I think they are just as good as most of the "Name" brands.  Probably, for the money, they are a little bit of a better buy.

One of my friends works at a golf course and he brought to a round a couple of these balls made by MG Golf. I've never seen them before, and they have a really soft cover like premium balls such as Pro V1s and what-not. Has anyone ever used these? They sell two types for $12 and $20 per dozen. And according to them, they perform very similarly to Pro V1s (the $20 balls).

Used these quite a bit. Great ball and get better performance than some of the very popular balls I have used in the past. For half the price!

I started using these balls about five years ago, and was immediately sold! I found them to spin as well as Pro-V’s for less then half the price, as well as no loss of distance. The only minor issue I had was durability. The urethane cover is very thin. I would still be playing them, but I can no longer find them on MG’s site. My guess is they are no longer available.
