I was reading through sean_miller's swing thread, when I came across this comment (specifically the second part, I'm not going to question s_m's age):
For some strange reason i thought you would be older but its good to see a homemade golf swing
What, exactly, does this mean? Just from reading/remembering his comments over the last few years, sean_miller has been to more lessons that I have (I've only been to 1), but I'd be extremely surprised if anyone said my swing was "homemade."

Yeah, I took some lessons just before my 25th season of playing, because if you wait any longer those swing flaws are hard to shed.

I've seen enough of your swing to suggest (out loud even) that even though it's not "home made", it looks like you had some game before you knew why the ball tends to go where you aim it. It's your swing and you seem to sort of own it.

Basically, if someone suggests a change in your set up or swing, are you a guy who says "yeah, that's something I'll try to work on", or do you ask, "that's interesting, but what flaw in my current shot making is this modification attempting to address?"

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

So...if you've never taken lessons how would you describe your swing or got to how you swing today?
