I'm hearing Tiger and Steve had the worst loss ever in a President's Cup, 7 and 6...  what does that mean?  I understand they didn't win a hole, and only played to 12, so I assume the 7 means that there weren't enough holes for Tiger/Steve to catchup... but still, I don't get the scoring.

May someone explain please?

They were down 7 holes with 6 holes to go. In other words, they couldn't win.. Also, if you hear someone is down "dormie," that means they are X down with X holes to go.

I think the team that's up is dormie meaning they've esentially already halved the match and just need one hole to win it. The team that's down is just "still barely alive".

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

Yeah you're right, I've heard it both ways though, so either way people will understand what you're saying. But yes, it should be the leading team is "up dormie."
