I've used the course scorecards for years and I've always made them work, but I wonder if there is a way to create your own custom scorecards. I've done a little searching online, and found a couple sites that do some basic customization, but I'm looking for something "better". At this point I'm considering just doing something in Microsoft Word, however, I thought I'd check here first. Is there a software or site that allows me to make my own custom scorecards? I'd like to do this for several reasons: 1. I don't care what the information is from from the tees I don't play 2. I want to keep stats (Fairway hit, GIR, Putts, etc.) 3. I want a vertical scorecard 4. I want additional info for the course

You could make something up in Excel and print it on heavy stock paper.  That way you could have everything you want on it and easily change it later to add more or get rid of what you don't like.

That Scorecard software does look pretty nice though.  Looks like it would be a lot easier than carrying a little book around.

I checked out scorecard and it's pretty cool. The printable scorecard has the info I want to record for sure. However, it's not formatted correctly for my needs. I like to keep my scorecard in my back pocket in a scorecard holder. Vertical scorecards work much better in this situation.

I created a scorecard in Excel. It's not perfect, but I can see potential and I have a lot of flexibility. As you say, I'd need to print on something heavy.

True, and this is what I've always done, but that doesn't mean I like it.  Also, it's a cold December and I've got time to think about it :)

I write all of the stats I need for Scorecard in two boxes. It's just five stats.

    • Context:  I am on vacation, so I don't have access to my indoor practice room, and I won't for about a month. Day 12 (August 22).  Today's weather was not one where even I was going to be outside.  For whatever reason, I didn't do the putting drill today.  There was a drill I remembered from this site (the article was something akin to "five things you can do to improve that don't require talent") that involved having an iron along the back from stance, moving to backswing and holding, then moving to forward swing and holding.  So I did that for five minutes today. I also spent 90 minutes at the gym;  my main motivation for getting stronger is golf related (and I really should get back to Fit For Golf  specific workouts;  I'm not sure when I lost that habit, a poor choice on my part that I did).  Funny story, I spent 20 minutes on the Stairmaster today at the gym (the rest was weights and rests), a device I started with shortly after I took up golf because I read something about it in a Butch Harmon book.  I should be following FFG Mike's fitness advice though, not some memory of someone else.
    • Day 8 8-22 Worked on backswing length and getting some speed in backswing. Recorded swings. Was happy with practice session tonight.
    • Day 325 - 2025-08-22 Practiced for almost an hour after cleaning my cabinets to account for the new GEARS cameras and helping @OBlum for a bit. Exaggerating the same old things.
    • Yea, faster greens = shorter putting stroke. You can be more accurate.  Really, I think people who struggle with distance control struggle just as much on slow greens as fast greens. I've seen people blast putts 10-FT past the hole on 8 or 9 STIMP as much as 11-12 STIMP.  I prefer faster greens. Usually means the putting surface is better and again, shorter putting stroke.
