Twitter Rumor: Tiger Woods and Tony Romo may Pair at AT&T National

Apparently, there is a rumor going around Twitter that the Dallas Cowboy quarterback will pair with Tiger Woods at Pebble Beach this year. ( see this article )

Talk about a fun pairing to watch and some much needed publicity for the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

I don't believe it largely because I don't think Tiger Woods has plans to play that event ever again. He hasn't played it for years.

It's a pairing I'd really love to see--maybe Romo will learn how to close (even if it's only from watching Tiger nail his wife).

I expect we'll see Tiger playing events he hasn't played in a while, particularly when played at courses he has owned.   Pebble fits that description.

Oh, Gawd, give the guy a break. He was out most of last year, and had two ... two bad games. 30 TDs and only 10 INTs -- most fans will take that. Now if Romo only had a line, a RB without a broken leg, and a defense. He can't do it all.

romo sucks. dez bryant is a 'it's all about me' reciever (but then again which ones aren't?) and the coaching is horrific. cowboys are GARBAGE!!!!

I am now hearing that Tebow has the first offer. If Tebow declines, Romo is second in line. I heard on the radio that Tiger has final approval.

I heard Tebow is like a 15 Hdcp but Romo is basically scratch.  Tiger would most likely want to play with Romo, beside, I think Tiger / Romo would be a better pairing, 'personality'-wise.

      To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
