Ireland... It's a nice little country when the sun comes out :) Played Corballis Links today. It's a super course, a public one, green fees will set you back a cool €15!!!! It's the same piece of land, side by side, as The Island with green fees that are 10 times that. Some pics:

How about a picture of your favorite hole and your nemesis hole?  I will try to post something later.  At work now.

I had the opportunity to play TPC Summerlin this last Monday. The greens were amazing, I loved the speed and roll of the ball. It was so cool to play the same course that I've walked while watching the pros play. This is where I was standing on #10 for my first ridiculously long chip that went in for birdie, it was freaking awesome. :~(

The course is built in a gated and guarded community.

18th Hole, top of the hill, you could swing as hard as you wanted the landing was as wide as a stadium, but dog legged right up the side of the hill.

Here is a course call Vellano that is a private country club in Chino, we were able to play it, it was a birthday gift. All I can say was the view was great but the course was an a$$ kicker, as you can see my son way not having a good round.

For the most part half the course had views, but narrow fairways, you could keep your ball in play by either staying in the fairway or playing to the side of the hill the hole ran. But anything other then that your ball was gone in the trees, down the opposite side of the fairway, this was due to being built on the side of the mountain.

Still I had a fun day with my son, but not a course I would jump to play again, well set up for a low HCP person not one that is 18.

    • 70 today. The number looks good but, the course is a par 67 (5,110 yards, 64.3/115.). While the 70 took quite a few good shots to achieve, I am not counting that as shooting my age.
    • Played our town’s executive course this morning. Everything is closing but for now Huron Hills remains open. #13 is shaped like an upside down backwards L (dogleg left). Only 231 yard par 4. Dogleg has a tree guarding the corner and a sand bunker guards the green for those cutting the dogleg. Tiny green. About 10 years ago or more I would try to cut the dogleg. The hole is so short that even if one tangled with the tree or was bunkered, par was likely and birdie was still on the table. Now in my 70’s, I just hit it straight and try to wedge it close for birdie. Today I screwed up and pulled my drive. I wandered around a bit when my ball was not in the bunker. Finally located it on the approach to the green. Almost chipped in and tapped in the 2 inches for birdie. Best unintentional shot of the week. 😲
