That's great and keep using that feel but understand it's a feel.

Thanks Mike!

Thanks Mike!

Some reason wasn't able to edit this post, but wanted to add that I think I am physically incapable of maintaining PP3 post impact on a full swing. Thanks for the 5th accumulator read.

Why on earth would you want to maintain the PP3 after impact??

Yes it's not something that should be maintained, again it's a feel. Inline condition with the lead arm and shaft at impact with some trail wrist bend and then the wedge quickly comes out after impact.

I've been playing with this some myself.  At this preliminary stage I notice more effect on P3 on the shorter wedges and irons than my longer clubs.

It does seem to be sharpening up my shorter game shots.

I will try using it to shape thee ball and see what happens.

Very interesting reading others efforts and results.

Yeah the wedge shafts are shorter, angle of attack is greater, you're going to "feel" PP#3 more.

Oh I don't. My post is just an affirmation to Mike's post that it's just a feel at impact and not reality especially post impact. I was just adding that I can't hold it even if I wanted to, i.e., the flying wedge releases on it's own even if you TRY to hold PP3 post impact. I think that would be true for anybody but I try not to state/implicate absolutes for everybody. Stranger things have and do happen.

Just didn't understand why PP3 was a bogus concept that affected release if you can't hold it (post) impact anyway. I have clarity now from reading the link Mike provided.

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
    • Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
