At the end of last season I was slicing everything (Im right handed). At the beginning of this season I tried a stronger grip with the interlocking pinky and I was doing great but drawing or very slight hooking left. Ive now started a more neutral grip ( the ernie els grip) and Im still hitting it with a draw, sometimes minor sometimes a bit larger. I keep my left foot planted always. I just cant seem to figure this out, how can I get my shots to fly straighter? Thanks!

concentrate on your swing plane.  Take the club straight back and on your follow through throw your hands directly at the target....also make sure you are square to the target and not closed.

Right shoulder should feel like it goes down and under instead of out and around on the downswing.  Feel like you're standing at home plate and you're trying to hit balls out to right field.  Should stop you from coming over the top.

Is the ball starting right of the target and over drawing or starting straight/left and hooking more?

The ball is starting straight and ending a right, not so much right that I cant hit greens but sometimes it does get a little more out of hand. Othertimes it goes straight and just turns over left in which Im ok with.

?? You're right handed and the ball starts straight and curves right? That is a fade not a draw. Please clarify.

Dang it, I apologize, I meant to say the ball is starting out straight and stays straight for most of the way and then goes left, a draw not a fade.

If you are consistent with this, I think I might just play for it as your stock shot.  A moderate draw is not a problem IMO, but a uncontrolable hook is a different story.

What part of the club face are you making contact with the ball?  If it is the toe, this could be causing the draw.

how many yards left is this "draw"?  If your draw is small I would play for it.

I'm not trying to be an ******* but some people think a 15 yard swing is still a draw, and if you want to get rid of it I feel like it's a big move in the air.

For me if my ball starts on target and ends more left than I wanted it means I closed the clubface too early, causing a bit too much spin and right to left movement.

When i start to hit my hooks, its mainly because I'm over swinging and rolling my wrists over on my downswing. Also, something that helps me straighten the ball out is to have a more upright swing path as opposed to a flat one.

For me a usable draw is a push draw.  Your swing path if in to out.  The ball starts right and draws back to center.  Think a 5 yard draw.

As far as a stock swing with driver it helps distance.

Yes and the push is coming from the face, draw from the path

i struggled with this problem early on this season

for me, i was bringing the club too far to the inside on the backswing

i think i may have been over-rotating my right wrist on the way back

i fixed it by concentrating on just turning my left shoulder to my chin

and not thinking about my right side at all

I've made a few changes already. Could over rotation or exaggerate rotation of the hips do this? I just watched a video saying to coil your upperbody and your hips will automatically rotate the 45 degress. I tried that and it seemed to work on most shots, Sure I topped a few just because it feels awkward.
