I would revel in the opportunity to play with any tour pro. Without hesitation.

Yes that is very clear. Others wouldn't. I'm not judging you. I'm just stating a fact.

Ditto. Sheesh, there's some picky foks here.

I would relish the opportunity to play with any Nationwide pro for goodness sake.  A couple weeks back, I played with a guy and his kid who is #1 on a small Div I college team, and it was great to just watch him stripe 320 yd drives and 225 yd 4 irons.

Understood. All I can say is, sucks to be them. I've played for 43 years now & still in awe of how a pro hits a ball, and would enjoy any chance I would get to witness it. I still have that 'like a child' amazement at their abilities.

I like Kevin Na and I sympathize with his problem. I also think the so called "fans" heckling him should be banned from attending any pro tournaments. If Kevin played in a regular foursome, he wouldn't hold anyone up because of the great shots he hits. I agree with another poster that a lot of slow play comes from guys spraying the ball around and insisting on taking 5 minutes to look for every ball they hit into the woods. I also think Brandel Chamblee was spot on for criticizing Na. Chamblee played professional golf and won a tournament. He knows what it's like to play on tour and what it takes to win. He was only saying what a lot of other golfers feel about playing with Na. It does affect the other guys Na plays with and the groups behind him. The other golfers gripe about and make comments like "You drew the short straw today" when they are playing with Na. Na knows this and admits it too. He knows it drives his playing partners crazy. And Chamblee is not responsible for the hecklers. There's always a certain amount of idiots at sporting events. Na knows he has to do something about it but there's such a mental block there it's hard to change.

Amen.

He is obviously struggling with mental aspects of the game which is struggle not of his choosing.  Although his antics and pace of play can be disturbing, I guess fellow professionals will have to exhibit professional-level focus and be thankful they are not in his shoes.  And let's be real, if any PGA golfer wanted to golf with me, I'd take them up on it in a heartbeat...and that includes Na. I don't have a regular foursome, but I'd put one together if Na wanted to golf with me.  I sure hope he resolves his mental struggles with pulling the trigger.

Why not? He seems like a very nice guy. I don't mind it when people take their time unless they are doing it to be a jerk. The only thing he takes a bit of time at is his pre shot routine. The thing that makes people slow is when they forget clubs, change clubs, not thinking ahead, etc.

I Play once a month with a guy that is worst... I recommend that people from Snickers find out who Na is playing with and provide him with free candy bars and cash to eat them in the backround while Na is prepping.. Hungry.. Why Wait...

That's actually a great idea for a commercial.  Fowler, Watson or Woods would be good as the lead golfer, waiting for Na to hit in the background.

the score..not so much the time. Its not about the delay only, its about the frustrations. Then again, I am only speaking for myself. It would drive me batty. Some can handle it I guess. For the record, I like Na, seems like a cool guy. So no harshness there.
