Inclination and Club Length

The "inclination" is the green line shown in each of these images (of me, both with a 6-iron):

Ok, please tell me!  This is what I am working on with Evolvr.  I am a bit too upright with the Driver and my hands are reaching out a bit.

I voted the same.  Only with wedges do I feel a bit more bent over.  Driver through PW the difference is mostly how far one is away from the ball,

That is what I voted too.  For some reason, with the driver, I am staying more upright.

I have a question on the lie of the club with body position.  Should the club head be flat on the ground at address or toe up?  With the position shown above, I think the toe would be up for most clubs, at least for me.

Hmmm, I voted wrong it seems. Could explain why I slice the driver but all my other misses throughout the set are pushes or hooks. Haven't sliced anything but the driver in over a year now.

I believe toe up is correct.  When swinging the weight of the club and shaft bending flatten the lie angle.  If your divots are good (ie flat and not tilted) then you are fine.  But this isn't really for this thread.  This is more about a discussion about if there is a difference in the tilt throughout the bag.

Two part answer:

1) Modern drivers are built very upright to help people not slice (face points slightly left if the toe is up). It's tough to sole a modern driver flat when their lie angles are north of 55°.

2) Address toe-up is irrelevant. There's shaft droop, and almost everyone returns the shaft on a slightly more upright plane at impact anyway.

This was a big one for me that I leapfrogged a year ago or so now on my road to improvement.  One really great side-effect is that a consistent address inclination gives you a consistent feel in the muscles in the shoulders, back and lumbar region that makes it a lot easier to set up consistently.  Nice to see a large majority choosing the right thing.  Shows how educated people are on this site.

BTW, the problem with some of these images is that they may be taken years apart, so who knows if they're truly good examples.
