If it happened no.  I think people would be amazed by the feat of winning a tournament with inferior outdated equipment.

I remember after Jack won the '86 Masters the rush to get that oversized putter he used. It was just a putter with a bigger head.

But anyway, yeah, I'm sure there would be a level of demand for persimmon should that occur. Many golfers are always trying to buy a game, and if they think persimmon can fix what ails them they'll do it.
