Trying to better my game (isn't everyone?), and I was wondering what some of your favorite resources were to learn the game?

I currently just watch a lot of youtube, and the Golf Channel's "The Golf Fix".

I was thinking of possibly getting lessons, but I'm a web developer, so I don't make that much money, and if I get them, I want to get them from a PGA certified trainer, and they don't come cheap. ($5-600 on average for a 6 hour block of lessons.)

I am also looking into paying for "The Swing Fix" Golf Channel swing analysis thing.

Just wondering what you all use. Thanks!

I like Martin Hall on The Golf Channel. That's about it. Not too fond of TGC's instruction shows.

I get instruction info here, the Facebook 5SK and Stack and Tilt groups, Richie3Jack, the YouTube channels of various instructors like Dana Dahlquist and Wayne DeFrancesco plus the occasional Twitter link from golf people I follow.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

The sandtrap.

I also take lessons through Evolvr, which is about as good a price as you'll find, if you're willing to do it online.

"The Golf Swing and Its Master Key Explained" by Noel Thomas

This put an end to 20+ years of frustration.  I have no need for any other golf swing instruction.

It is apparently home published and sold only by the author.  Who would have thought?

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
