Man, this is getting technical! I'm going to try this at the range while I have a buddy toss balls at me while yelling fore. (This would make a great 'hidden camera' stunt to capture the looks on other people's faces...)

Pretend you are getting a paid golf lesson?

I begin wildly flailing my club in the air.  I figure I have just as good of a chance to get a decent shot by hitting a ball out of the air as I do with my driver off the tee.

I figure thiat as long as I dont get hit in the head its not the end of the world and the chances of being hit in the head are slim to none. I do try to guard my head for the most part but I just dont stress. I bet this sounds dumb and irresponsible but I guess I havent had that "eye opener" yet

If I'm playing with my usual partner I hide behind him because he is considerably bigger than me.

I'm amazed how often I see people turn and look towards the person yelling "FORE"......I've seen this reaction from others many, many times.

Did play it last year for the first time and it is awesome.

    • Day 47: simulator day! Played St. Andrew’s and shot a +1. Not bad, especially with having to putt at this simulator set up. Had about 5 minutes at the end to work on some feels as well.
    • I think you're saying it's preposterous to think that the areas on this club are anything like what's shown here: 30mm toward the toe or heel loses only 5% distance? Highly, highly doubtful. So a guy who hits the ball there and normally hits the ball about 250… will hit it instead about 238. By missing the sweet spot by about 1.2 inches? Highly, highly doubtful. Heck, the high heel barely gets into the red, and orange is only "up to" 10%! @M2R, I've never heard of "Ask Golf Nut" but I'm dubious of his claims in the video and really, really dubious of what's on his site: "Why AskGolfNut Is the Most Trusted Data-Driven Golf Resource". Hmmmmmm.
