I've played golf with Notah Begay (4 time tour winner and Tiger's buddy) several times. I have also played with Buck Rogers (Gil Gerard) in a scramble once. My Dad's played with Phil Mickelson a couple times.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Didn't play with them, but back in the mid-90s, while stationed in San Antonio, I'd frequent a lighted practice range on regular basis and one time George "The Ice Man" Gervin walked up and started hitting balls next to me and started talking to a couple of us. Really friendly  and complimented my swing as I did his.  Also ran into Dave Cowens at the same facility later on. (My friend got his autograph).

Actually, I never played golf with him, but I met Julius Erving on a golf course. At PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens. Funny anecdote about that - I was playing with my friend Gary who is a great guy but not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Anyway we're playing & word gets out the Dr. J is on the grounds filming a commercial. So when we finish our round I look over at the practice green & there he is surrounded by about 20 people. So me & Gary walk over.

On our way there, Gary turns to me & says "Which one is Dr. J?"

I just fixed him with a look & said, "Gosh Gary, do you think it might be the black guy that's a foot taller than everyone else?"

bolded is outstanding

played with Mike Schmidt at a charity event once...great swing so smooth

Even par through 9 is my best.  I don't even want to think about what was my worst.

Aaaaaaaaahhh.....the ICE MAN!  He was one of my favorite players back in the day when I still watched NBA BB.  LOL...............

Larry, Magic, Mike were the big 3 but there were others too.   The Dr. and the Ice man, Domique and others......................

I quit watching the NBA in the late 90s, but I remember #44 (Iceman) well!!!

Brad Pitt's brother, Doug. Well, he wasn't famous at the time so it doesn't really count. Went to school with Brad and Doug. Played with Doug when I was trying out for the high school golf team.

Ya you will see a few time to time. A lot of pros take their Kids to the kanakuk golf camp. So you'll catch them playing around.

    • Most the stuff I found on Instagram and just copy and mix it up. a few of my favorites: Clean>Squat>Press> March Around the body >catch >Squat> press I also hold a the kettle bell upside down with both hands on the handle. Squat when I stand back up I lift the kettlebell up over and behind my head and hold then repeat
    • Not sure this is the best thread but, if the rain holds off, today is my 1st round of the year.  Getting ready I can not find my Shot Scope.  I guess I put it away too well for the winter and thus that is may "Winter Depression".  I'm sure I put it somewhere that made sense at the time.
