Hi all. I'm new to the forum. 42 year old, largely spherical, lefthanded golfer playing in the UK. Playing off 20 and have just started playing the rocketbladez. Now, my technical knowledge is pretty sketchy and I am no expert on golf clubs. I can make the following observations. As many on the thread have already noted. These are not blades. The lofts are 'jacked up'. BUT...I have to say, that for me, they seem to be working. For example; the 7 iron goes around as far as my old 6, which would kind of make sense with the lofts. However, the difference is the height. The ball flies higher and comes down steeper. I am told this is all to do with shafts and weighting...and that's ok with me... Maybe it is all in the head, but my iron shots are going further, higher and landing softer, right through the set. I'm sold!

I hit the 7-iron regular blades and flew 205 and rolled out to 220.i normally hit it 175. Fairly impressive I thought. Not sure how far the 8-iron without the slot would go.

Went to Dunn's with a buddy of mine this weekend.  He's 49 and has played golf once in the last 8 years; his swing is surprisingly decent, but he was playing with artifacts.  We were intending to get a general sense for what kind of irons he felt most comfortable with, then head over to the used clubs store and pick up a set for him to get back into the game with.

He tried the newest SGI stuff from ping, callaway, adams, mizuno, etc.  He was hitting a 6-iron around 145 carry with all of them.  And then he hit the RocketBladez.

He was crushing the 7-iron 175.  And he did it on 4/10 shots (the others were bad mis-hits).  There is something very interesting about these clubs.

From what I've seen in the 30-40 reviews around the web, the speed pocket is useless to those with slower swing speeds: they don't have the clubhead speed to engage the pocket. however, for those that have enough clubhead speed to use the pocket hit it much further. they all seem to be very consistent though, regardless of the gained distance. I can't wait to to get golf galaxy when the tours come out... i hope they have them lefty on release day!

I'll bet that's right. Probably need a stiff shaft and a great deal of club head speed.

saw this great video review of these clubs recommend watching it to anyone who is contemplating getting these clubs, it made my mind up.

I thought the review was light, one swing with each club is the sample size to compare the 2 different irons?  I saw the RocketBladez in person and they are nicer to look down at than the RBZ.  I'm not sure what in the video made your mind up for you, but hope you enjoy the irons.

I have these clubs and have played about 3 rounds at a par 3/4 course, this time of year with my old taylormade rac irons I would be hitting my clubs about 10 -15 yards less than during the summer. These clubs I am hitting my summer yardages in 40* weather, so I'm guessing I will gain 10-15 yards with these new clubs compared to the old ones this summer. They have an awesome feel similar to a blade and super forgiving on mishits. I have no complaints with these clubs other than paying $700 for the set. The set I have are not tour irons. I have custom shafts and was fitted for this set, so in all fairness I can't compare apples to apples other than they feel so great when you hit the sweet spot. I have never hit straighter shots. Love them and highly reccomend. My swing speed is between 85-90.

First post here. I ordered Rocketbladz Tour 3-PW last week after hitting them on my buddies Golf USA indoor launch monitor. I play to a 3 and ordered them 2up with Project X 6.0 shafts. My swing speed at 61 years of age is 85 mph with a 7 iron and 105 with a driver. These TM irons felt great and very consistent with launch angle, direction and distance. My first consideration is always the feel of the club at impact and consistent shots not necessarily the distance. However at my age I am all for a stronger lofts if the launch angle is correct and I can control the ball. I headed to Scottsdale next Wednesday and I'll post how they play then. We have 16 inches of snow today in Nebraska.

Hit these at the shop last week. Man, the topline is THICK! I guess they had to have somewhere to put that polymer. Not enough feedback for me. Felt like I was hitting a marshmallow. They "look"  nice though, just not for me.

I am hating saying this.........but I DO like the Tour version of these irons. These irons intrigue me for some reason. Could it be the club ho in me?

Tried my new Rocketbladez Tour irons last week in Scottsdale. 3 rounds. These irons are great! Solid at impact. Great trajectory. The ball jumps off the face yet has consistent feel. Distance is the same as my old Mizuno irons.

By getting a ball for every yard further this works in your favor, but I wanted to point out the the Rocketbladez 7 iron and your current 7 iron (for most sets) is not an equal comparison.

The Rocketbladez 7 iron is 30.5 degrees of loft and 37 inches in length.  Compare to my set of Titleist 755's where the 7 iron has 35 degrees of loft while still 37 inches in length.  The Rocketbladez is actually stronger in loft than my 6 iron which is at 31 degrees.

None of this really matters for the 7 iron competition (get as many balls as you can, I never pay for them) however when it comes time for the sales pitch be armed with the data.  Don't misunderstand me, the rocketbladez are good irons and may be what you want (I might consider a set for myself in the future) and the technology is very cool.  Just realize that the lofts are probably more in line to what you might see in a tour bag.

I did not do the 7 iron challenge, but did run across a rocketbladez 6 iron while I was practicing in a simulator the other day.  I had a 5 and 7 iron from my 755's.  I consistently hit the RBLZ 6 about the same as my 5.  The RBLZ 6 being the longest overall shot measured at 195 yards while the longest of my 5 iron measured at 193.  I had a fairly consistent draw with the RBLZ but the dispersion was tighter with my 755's.  I could not fade the RBLZ very well.
