I have been filming my swing for a year and a half.  My method to date has been setting up the camera, the push the start button, swing, then go back and stop the camera.  This is a bit tedious.  My camera allows me to edit the film down by trimming before and after the actual swing.  This helps keep the file size down when I send the film to Evolvr.  But it is tedious.  I usually film at 210 fps.

I was at the range Friday and another guy was filming his swing.  He just sets it up and starts it.  Then does a number of swings before stopping.  He said he edits the film with software on a Linux system.

Is there a program for the MAC that I can use to do it this way?  It would make range session much easier.

Thanks.

QuickTime Player. Just use the Trim command.

Or iMovie, but that's overkill.

This thread reminded me of a thread I read on TST a week or so ago, of someone asking about an Open Source (free) piece of software that they found which can analyze ones golf swing.  I can't find that thread... Anyone know of the thread I'm thinking of?

Nevermind - here it is:

I use Kinvovea to do some side by side stuff that is pretty cool.

I havent used any real software but I think it has some great features for freeware. You can easily crop videos individually or side by side and convert a section of video to images at your chosen interval. You could also take simultaneous face-on and dtl videos using the video capture features. Great free tool

I used to use Windows Movie Maker but hated it. I downloaded Adobe Premier from a torrent site and have been using that. It's pretty easy to figure out and has wayyy more features than WMM.
