I read the entire thread and only one poster volunteered how many strokes he improved, from 35 to 31.   I'd appreciate if others who used AimPoint publish how many strokes they have improved, before and after.  I am just trying to see where my next lesson (Edel, more ball striking lessons) money should go toward.    I am pretty good at lag part of putting but don't make enough medium putts.  I average about one 3-putt per round.   My total putts per round is typically 32 - 34.

I went from 36 to 31/32 per round.  But think of it more as reducing 3 putts and making more one putts.  My GIR is only around 25%, so I have a lot of short game shots to get me close.  So I do get a lot of one putts.  If you have a better GIR, then you will have more putting opportunities and may two putt more due to the average proximity to the hole of your first shot.  With AimPoint, your read will be better and you only have to worry about speed to get close on longer putts.

Due to full swing problems I can't really quantify how Aimpoint has improved my overall scoring (but I think it would be much worse without it).  I can say that I've gone from 4-5 three putts per round to ~1.   If my swing hadn't taken a giant dump and I wasn't in the process of rebuilding it, I'd guess it I would have dropped 4 strokes on avg.

What does this mean?

We ranked every skill in golf from SV④ to SV①. 4 is highest and most important. Green reading is an SV③ skill.

You really should buy the book… :-)

And in Aimpoint site, they list instructors with different "Level Name" from 1 - 5.   What does number mean?  I did a quick search on it without success?

Just basically a quantification of the amount of time and number of students they've taught.

Will do some day.   I made a promise that I am not buying any book until I read the ones I already bought.   I am ashamed to admit I have several books that I have barely started and are collecting dust.   Lihu & Defreuter415 also recommended other books for me to read.   Same answer to them, too.   But honestly, I hate, hate, reading which is why I can't/won't read any lengthy post. :-)

BTW, I am convinced to take the lesson.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
