You're already sounding like a salty ol' veteran.  Lol.  Regarding Player- did it have anything to do with the [S]Playgirl[/S] ESPN spread? a2_wink.gif Dislike Ian Poulter.

Go to who do you hate on tour? This thread was my introduction to this forum...wasn't pretty!

He takes way too long on the greens. Lines it up, backs off, lines it up, backs off, repeat. Then you go out to a public course and see people doing the same thing. I hope they implement a shot clock like your boy Colin Montomerie said.

Ok, I can understand that. Just seems like a nice guy to me. And I doubt most people who take forever on the greens are doing it just because Furyk does. 90% of pros take way too long on the green.

This guy! Come on, seriously his attitude generally annoys me, Jimenez, i think youre stuck in the past!

(no offense to any smokers) i think it should be completely ban at sporting events, give the wrong impression to young kids IMO!

I do know this, when I play perfect greens it is much harder for me to pick a spot then when it is a little chewed up and you can say " I want to hit it at this mark".. those guy play on greens with not too many marks on them. I think that would be harder.

Lol. I like the story about Jiminez showing up on the range for some practice post round at the Open with a bottle of red wine and a cigar. The guy knows how to have a good time. :-)

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Don't think we need to protect kids from seeing a guy smoke a cigar... Besides, I doubt Jimenez is the guy most of the kids are idolizing.

    • Aberg is making a name for himself.
    • If you don't think this course is difficult enough you should just stop watching golf. Hovland is out, Scheffler just made the cut, Tiger has a lot of grinding to do to avoid an early weekend. I'm rooting for Ludvig or Rory. Cantlay can find a bush.
    • If you got space for it, a hitting net is also a good option that allows you to hit real balls. I do most of my full swing practice on a net st home these days. I find it very valuable to hit balls. I can do something different in ten rehersal swings and on the next full swing just do my normal swing. Muscle memory and having done something thousands of time is difficult to overcome. A combination of slow swings, testing new feelings and full swings is better than only swinging without a club. The better players and instructors can probably get more value out of swinging without hitting anything.
    • Detry making some good length putts today. Defying probability with a pretty good round. +4.3 strokes gained putting. Not sure this is sustainable.  Nicolas Echavarria, leading the field with +3.72 AVG strokes gained approach. He is -2.51 strokes gained putting.  Right now, I would put money on Aberg, Top 10 strokes gained putting, top 5 strokes gained approach and leading in strokes gained off the tee.  Rory's putter needs to heat up. Another all-around good play is Tony Finau, +1 to +2 strokes gained in putting, approach, around the green and off the tee.  Live Tournament Stats - U.S. Open Live strokes gained and traditional statistics from every round of this week’s PGA Tour event in a customizable table.
