Went to the range today for the 1st time since October. (I know its irresponsible)  It was a little cold and windy but it was a good time.  Im still getting quite a few pulls but my contact is very good. I hit 6 or 7 really solid 4 irons to finish up which is a club I could barely hit a year or so ago.  Any help with the pulls would be great.

We finally got some decent weather so I was able to get a evolvr video in. Ive been working on getting my hands ahead of the ball at impact also maintaing Keys 1 & 2.  I hit the ball really good f

The thing that jumps out at me is you're standing up a bit coming into impact. Not sure if that could cause the face to close and create a pull or not, but I'd work on your pivot to get ready for the season.

Sorry, I got nothin'

i used to stand up something fierce but it was a key 4 issue that was causing it so I never really learned any drills specific to that, it was fixed in a roundabout fashion. Did you used to stand up or is this new? I'm on my phone so looking back at videos sucks.

I do see it in a video from last fall.  That might be why Erik told me to get my hands down faster Im not sure though.

So I did something Ive never done today. I went to the range and hit about 70-80 balls just doing a drill I got from evolvr.  My drill is to take the club to the top stop lay the shaft down then make a swing making sure I have my hips and shoulders open at impact.  It was kinda odd carrying a whole bag of clubs to the range considering i only hit one club really. I also put a few marks on the hosel of my 8i. :whistle:  Whats the saying about breaking a few eggs to make an omelet.

@Jakester23the club path down to the ball looks much better.  That may still be a slight path related pull(path because the face seemed pretty square) on top but it is hard to tell.  I think the camera angle may be inside your toes a bit.  This is a great first step to getting that path more outward.  Keep at it.  Practice that at home each day as well even without hitting any balls.  You'll be kicking my butt this summer hopefully.  Do you have a feel for getting the hips more open?

Yeah and then I woke up. I guess just start to slide forward then rotate so I can feel weight on the outside of my left foot and left heel if that makes sense.

I went to the range today and took some full swing video.  I feel like Im getting my pieces down a lot better.  Ive been working on my drill quite a bit.

I was working on my drill for my warm up.   Then I wanted to try and use an intermediate target. I haven't ever used one before. It seems to make it easier to hit target with longer clubs. Then I went back to my drill after about 20 full swings.  So I guess you could say not much in the videos. :whistle:

I got done with work a little early today so I played 9 at a local course I usually struggle.  I think it was the best ball striking day Ive ever had.  As I posted in the game golf thread I need my edel putter ASAP.  I shot a 40 with 19 putts (yuck).  I hit 67% GIR and was 100% nGIR.  I did get lucky and make a long birdie putt on number 8.  Im excited that my full swing is to the point that its not a weakness anymore.

I actually hit 8 nGIR's I forgot I had to punch out of the trees on #1.:hmm:

Went to the range today to work on my evlovr drill.  The weather sucked (40 degrees and windy) but its kinda nice having the range to yourself.  Im attempting to keep the club behind my hands at A6 and let my hip turn bring the club down to the ball.  I think it will make it easier to swing out.  On the range I was hitting a lot of pushes.
