That's an interesting pairing. Think they'll discuss much?

Wonder whose cornflakes Pressel &*%$$#ed in to deserve that?

Who cares? Over the first two rounds, Michelle beat Pressel by a shot. Wonder if Morgan cried about it...

I played in a pro-am round with Morgan last month. I went into the round with some of the same pre-meditated thoughts that many people have about her - that she's an emotional, tantrum-throwing, primadonna. But I gotta tell you, I came away from that round with her and my opinion of her took a 180. I was very impressed.

She really has grown up a lot. She handled herself very well, knew how to work the crowd. Any of the kids that were lined up for autographs, she would stop to sign and take pictures. The local media stopped her for an interview, she handled that with grace. This was the 6th year that I've done the pro-ams, and of all the LPGA players I've played with, she was my favorite. I could tell you stories about a couple of the others who weren't so great.

As far as Morgan's opinion of Wie... I did ask her about Wie during the round, and she even resisted temptation on that one. Her response when I said "so what do you really think about Michelle Wie?" was "oh God, don't get me started....... no comment". She could have dished, but took the high road.

Anyways, here are some pics from the event if anyone is interested:

Just when things start to look up for Michelle Wie, she shoots 84.

A bit. My wife and I didn't really get into it until last year, but we've been on two wine tours since. I like to try and match up a good wine with good food. Love the taste of it.

And to bring a golf-related note into the discussion, not too long ago I discovered that Greg Norman has his own brand of wines. I picked up a bottle of his pinot noir a couple months ago. We opened it last week, and not only did I enjoy it, but my wife thought it was a great tasting wine as well. I'd recommend it.

Norman Estates Cabernet is ridiculously good.

Hey, good for you! It's a terrific hobby. I hope you and your wife enjoy it for years to come.

I'm quite familiar with Mr. Norman's wines. I'd also recommend the bottles offered by another famous tour pro: Ernie Els. Personally I prefer them over Norman's, but that's half the fun of wine tasting - judging for yourself! You can check them out here: http://www.ernieels.co.za/ernieelswines/ Best of luck! Tom

I did not know that Ernie had his own label. I will have to see if I can hunt those down as well. Thanks for the link. :)

. . . Over the first two rounds, Michelle beat Pressel by a shot. . .

In the end, Morgan ended up at -1 & and pretty good T12 while Michelle ended up with a putrid +16 and a T69 (out of the 72 players who made the cut).

Yeah, as I noted previously after Michelle's

lovely 84 in round three. No need to quote me as if I was wrong or dumb or something: Michelle beat Morgan when they were paired together. They weren't paired together for the 84. I was hoping the first two rounds signaled some sort of turn-around for Michelle, some large step on the road to recovery. Then she shoots 84.

So whats it cost to play with the LPGA?

R7 9.5 S Shaft

Apparently a cost Michelle Wie doesn't want to pay. There was an interesting article about her performance this past year in the new Golf Digest - basically a string of MC Hammers and last-place finishes with a few 20-something places. And she plays with the men half the time.

She hasn't played with the men half the time this year. The Sony Open has been it, yes?
