Do they actually make any good colored golf balls. I get bored of white and would like to play with like a red ball or something. Most of the colors I see are girly colors or not a very good ball.

I know it's kind of a weird question but I have always wanted a red ball :)

I play Callaway Big Berthas 90% of the time right now so I would want something with that quality or better.

Check out Noodle Ice balls. They are technically white but they have a transparent cover and it gives them a "different" look to them. They'll definitely make your playing partners kind of snicker before they see that well, they actually work. If that's what you're going for. They also play pretty well and are pretty long lasting.

Yeah the Noodle Ice balls intrigue me. I think the look pretty sweet, but I have wondered about their quality and durability. Perhaps I'll give them a go after I run out of D2s.

I've seen the Noodles and just the yellow balls people use in winter. I think the Noodle's look awesome but I've never played with them and I wondered, are they good balls?

TJK, that bug thing is tripping me out... I hit my screen like 5 times! Lol...

I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

The noodles are pretty good - especially when it's windy.
Does anyone know if they still make the Ping balls? - Now they had a nice colour

here is a link to a black ball

Find one of these on the edge of a pond at my course. I thought it was a gimmick but they actually sell these. I have hit it a couple of times on par 3's because I didn't want to lose it and it felt pretty good. It might be hard to find in the rough though

Volvik Crystal's ....I played the Orange earlier ths year, they have a good feel, but I wish they made an 80 or 90 compression.

The Noodle Ice is actually a really good ball. It is soft and very long. It is also very easy to follow in flight. One interesting thing I have found is that if you are wearing sunglasses, they are harder to see on the ground. I bought a dozen last year as a joke and played them at our Father's Day outing. It was pretty funny seeing the looks on peoples faces when we won the whole thing with me using a pink ball.

As long as you don't mind a little ribbing, I say go for it.

Thanks guys for all the replies. I really want a red ball. I don't know why, it's just my favorite color. Maybe I will try the Noodle Ice balls and see how they play.

I definitely don't mind the ribbing. I am a jokester anyway and am always trying to make people laugh even if it's at me :)

Sorry about the bug fellas, but I have to have it in my signature on all the forums I talk on. It usually gets quite a few people.

If anyone finds some good quality red balls, let me know.

Nike One Blacks actually used to be black... and Tiger even played them. That was awhile ago and I don't know if they still make them.

I don't think Tiger ever played a ONE Black. He's always used a prototype Platinum not available to anyone else, and I don't recall him ever hitting a ball that wasn't white in competition.

They do look cool.

I believe that Nike had that Black ball on tour for one tournament, and Tiger never used it. Last I heard from one of my tour connects was that Tiger was trying out a Bridgestone proto, even though it was badged as Nike. You will find that alot of players on tour play things that arent as they seem, like the shafts in half of the drivers of the TaylorMade staffers. You guys dont think they are all playing that Reax shaft do you? Paint can be very confusing to people watching on TV.

    • Day 6: lighter session today after a long day. Just some mirror work and slow swings to try to get my feels down.
    • @Philip Belgium,  If I haven't already, Welcome to TST.  Your injury sounds serious and I hope you fully recover.   Thanks for sharing your story.  ..... each day get 1-2% better.   (A ray of sunshine and a positive outlook)
    • Day 91 (1  Aug 25) - Pre-tournament practice round today…had some great up and downs for par saves.  Rain came in this evening so it will be a totally different playing course tomorrow.
    • Jesus, when he keeps saying scissoring moment, ugh that is a horrible sounding phrase. Just makes me cringe. It doesn't help my mind went to Mr. Garrison from South Park. 🤣 If you know you know.  I think for the most part, golf shaft companies have gotten this figured out. They ask questions like, what tempo do you swing at. The whole scissor terminology sounds like they want to stand out a bit.  Yea, golfers load the golf shaft differently, and different bend profiles can help out. I do think swing speed matters as well. You probably want a golf shaft with lower torque if you swing faster.
    • Played 9 holes, shot a 39.  Kind of got around. Everything between the trees, so in play. Short game was rusty. Got to get back on that. Greens were stupidly slow because they got a lot of rain yesterday and probably couldn't cut them down. Usually in the summer they are firm and pretty fast for how sloped they are. Got to work on face to path a bit.
