My wife and I are spending a delightful week in Scotland playing and watching golf. For anyone who's interested we've played Blairgowrie Rosemount on Monday and Monifieth Links Medal on Tuesday...both superb, the latter especially so...and Wednesday practise, yesterday and today at the Ricoh Ladies Open at St. Andrews Old, all,of which have been great. So three great days at St. Andrews when as we were leaving today we watched la Inksters antics on the 16th. Her caddie had given her the wrong club/ yardage/ line and she dumped her drive in a bunker, signal multiple slamming of club into ground, a bollacking for the caddie, a load of chuntering all the way up the fairway and a loud audible ***k when she reached the bunker and saw the only escape route was sideways. An average wedge resulted in a 10 yard throw of the club at the bag and another mouthful at the caddie. Poor behavior by a 5 year old let alone a 50+ professional, and who is in charge out there the caddie or the player...surely it's time the various tours dictated that caddies get out of the way, stop reading greens, lining up players and clubbing, perhaps then we'll get back to 4 hour rounds rather than the 5 30 we've endured this week.

Unfortunate you had to see that.  She comes across as very professional on TV.

Why would anyone watch Inkster when there is soooo much more from which to choose?

Or did she just show up at the hole you were watching?

The later, we were walking back down the course to the car park when she just happened along. Over the 3 days I think we saw everyone and certainly enjoyed some excellent golf and St Andrews is such a fanatic place to wander around on a sunny day!

Sometimes pros behave badly, especially when things arent going their way.  You need to remember that despite all the talent, they are still only human and lose their cool sometimes.

That's too bad. Sure people lose their cools but they know they're being watched so some either just don't care or just want the attention.

People playing golf for fun get mad when they make poor shots, why should a pro be any different.

I agree no one should throw a temper tantrum, especially not a pro, but it's not always easy to control your emotions, especially if big money is involved.

Agree....Juli is a has been.......a has been with a g8 career though.

I've never seen Juli be unprofessional....but she's not overly cheery either.

Pros have to be accountable for their actions.....take info from the caddie or if you disagree.....make your own decision.

Her life....but if I was in her shoes....I'd be travelling the world sightseeing...I assume she's financially stable.
