Has anyone ever made a cheap vs expensive clubs comparison test?

I hear what everyone is saying above but in my experience it is the player's ability more then the club. Also todays "cheap" club was last years greatest thing since sliced bread. I'm not talking about forged vs caste, better players can tell the difference. But in my opinion the vast majority of players could not tell the difference. I play in a league and I see guys using all brands of clubs, some really old, some new, some expensive, some not so much. Their scores are based more on ability not the club. 

I once tool lessons and had a Cobra Amp Cell driver, I couldn't hit it. I was sure it was the club. The Pro took the clubs and proceeded to hit it straight and over 250 yards (the length of the driving range). He had never hit a Cobra, it had a regular stock shaft but boy could he hit that club.

I know a lot of folks will disagree with me but I would worry more about your ability, (swing), then the club.
