Bridgestone Ball Fitting

I did a ball fitting with Bridgestone yesterday. I was at the course just hitting balls and saw that they were there. I walked up and they let me do it, even though I had not signed up. This is the second time I have done this, and as before they were courteous and patient, and tried to find the best ball for me. If you have the opportunity, I recommend you try this. I was disappointed in MY performance this time. My best was about 99 mph and launch was low on most. I was using their driver, a J40, 10.5, project X 5.0. I just wasn't feeling it, or maybe my birthdays have caught up with me. I did this about 3 years ago, and had a head speed of 103.8 with a similar club but stiff shaft. The best part of the experience though, was watching the guy hit my 1 iron. I had my old Wilson Staff FG-17 one iron with me, and he wanted to hit it. After my fitting, he hit three range balls cold with no warm up. The first one he sort of missed, but the next two were baby push draws that started low and rose--with range rocks mind you! I would have like to see him hit a few with good balls. It reinforced in my mind the difference between my shots and those of a real player.

Why did they want you to hit their driver instead of your own?  Seems to me that the ball needs to be fit to both the player and his equipment.....

B330RX for "serious" play and E-6 for casual play.

It was cool to see someone really hit one. I generally get forward motion, but nothing to brag about.

You are correct on all counts, but I didn't have my driver with me, so I asked to use theirs. I didn't know they were going to be there, and had only taken a couple of irons, an old 3 wood, and putter, so wasn't prepared.

I've seen them do it. They'll tell you the best fit ball and the best fitting Bridgestone in those cases.
