You'll get some good feedback from evolvr, and it will likely look to address this, which is NOT a good way to hit a driver. It may not directly speak to this, but this picture will improve over the next month or two…

I'm looking forward to it. =)

To be clear, I skimmed your video, and that's definitely something that will have to change at some point. It may not be this time or the next, but sometime soon, I expect that picture to change.

I'm sure there is plenty to fix, just a matter of what to fix first. ;-) Hopefully the body in the picture will continue to shrink as well.

Got my 1st Evolvr analysis. Time to see if I can keep my big ole mellon still.

Cool! It will be interesting to follow your progress.

Thanks. Playing tomorrow morning. Not expecting much, but at least I'll get some good exercise walking 18.

47out. 42 in. Stupid double on 17. Should have been an easy par. Better than the triple digit scores I've been shooting.

I shoot 55 in and I'm happy about it LOL

Coz I'm a high handicapper.

I can't say much negative about your golf swing dude... it looks fine to my untrained beginner's eye...

What contributes to your difficulty of observing the golf ball, from your eye's center is maybe just a weight distribution issue at address position...

Check your own post nr. 57 8-iron swing from down the line.

Your posture looks quite upright, your knees are not very flexed compared to your back's angle when you address the ball with the golf club.

Upright posture, little knee flex, causes your upper body to sort of reach for the ball. That's just some country-boy logic so to speak, it may be true but it's golf so you want an expert opinion on this matter.

Upright posture with little knee flex makes it hard to balance weight  between heels and toes... If you move your head forward, it will disbalance your weight toward your toes.

At least that's my idea of what could be happening.

How does the weight feel for you, is the weight even, or more in the heels or more in the toes?

In shortened format...

Your 8-iron swing looks like your knee flex is little (knees trending towards upright)

with little knee flex together with medium spine angle (you address the ball with club)

it will probably feel impossible to balance weight between heels and toes, if you tilt the head down a little bit (so you can see the ball from eye's center)

It comes down to physics of center of gravity (balance point)

Your head's weight, more towards the toes of your feet, is overmatching the center of gravity, so you feel like the weight of your body is more on the toes (please try it out at least how it feels, and tell me if I'm right?)

If you in theory, flex knees more, then your weight feels like it's on the heels...

Then you add forward spine angle, and your weight feels more evenly distributed...

Then you can fine tune, the head position and make your weight feel more correctly balanced...

With all due respect, I lost where you are going with all this advice.. I thought the shorthand would be easier to get but you need an abridged version for the shorthand now. ;)

I tend to do the upright thing since I'm only 5'-6" (if I stretch a bit). Makes me feel less short. My stance is something addressed in my first Evolvr session. Need to spend some quality time at the range this week.

Yea it doesn't mean that upright posture is bad... It's just different I suppose.

And you are a mid-capper anyway, so you can obviously hit the ball nicely anyway, so take my advice with grain of salt I suppose.

It was actually noted by Evolvr so no worries. It's usually my short game and putting that saves a lot of pars. I go really low on days when I hit greens regularly, hence my mission to hit greens on a more regular basis and play in the 70s instead of 80s.

Spent an hour and a half on the range this evening working on posture changes (not so upright) and maintaining the angle of my spine from backswing to downswing (steady head). Didn't have my cameraman with me so I'll have to record later. Heading to Jack's house tomorrow to train for shotlink and catch some of the pro am action. If the storms hold off tomorrow evening, I might get back to the range.

Spent the morning at The Memorial. Shot 46 on the front 9 of Gem City this evening. Only missed 2 fairways but no GIRs. Only one successful up and down. Driving much better but irons not so good.

This is just going to be one of those weeks. I have something going on every stinking night. No time for even the range. :pound:

Went to the range for a little while just to get some video to see how I'm doing. I tried a new camera (ELPH 100 HS) that we had laying around. It did 240fps, but at a small resolution. Thing were working pretty well. Still don't think I'm "looking at the ball" enough, but these shots were right off the sweet spot and straight down the target line. It seems like I am not leaning forward quite as much, so I think  my work is starting to pay off a bit.

Added: Back is really sore this morning. Not sure if it's from range work or jogging at lunch.
