Videoing your swing: the merits of face on versus down the line

So there is lots written on taking video from the proper angle/position. What about choosing when to take face on versus down the line?

I would think for tracking head movement, flat wrist conditions, face on. Swing plane, in-out vs out-in, toe vs heel hit, down the line.

Are there any general or hard and fast rules for deciding which angle is better for what purpose?

I think you pretty much have it.

Face/On: Steady head laterally, hand position at impact, weight forward

Down the Line: Steady Head vertically, Swing path, Body rotation, Initial ball flight (left or right)

Caddie view- rates of torso/hip turn, foot flare, foot work grip, axis tilt, hip thrust

DTL- Arm depth, torso/hip slants, eye/neck tilts, footwork, grip, elbow locations, rate of hip/shoulder rotation from A5-8

Depends on the camera angle. Might or might not be important, depends on the player and their issues.
