I have found that I can't hit a driver or three wood without having the shaft go more through my my palm. My grip with an iron is more traditional. Does anyone else do this? I noticed Sergio does this as well.

No, but maybe I should? ;-) Since I'm not overly proud of how I'm hitting a driver this year maybe I'll give it a shot. (I'll try almost anything at least once). I would figure I would have a loss of club head speed but...

I'd question whether Sergio does this (I would contend very strongly that he does not).

It may be a quick fix for you but I'd investigate the root cause.

While watching todays tournament I saw both rory and sergio have very similar grips at set up with their driver. It looked very much like the club went through their palm. I know for me this helps me flatten my wrist at the top of the swing. I get plenty of club head speed (110 mph) and ball speed (165 mph) with my driver. I struggle with my club head control. I believe that is related to my grip.

I grip the putter differently than my other clubs. Maybe I should use my driver grip for my putter. :-)
