Emojis have a mind of their own

When quoting, on some occasions when I try to insert an emoji at the end of a line, the editor will put it on top of the quote.  This happens both in windows and safari.

I've experienced that on occasion. I've also had the curser just jump up to the top in mid rant...er...sentence.

That type of thing happens for me sometimes when I try to tag.  I will put an @Ernest Jones and then if I type it wrong and back up and start all over it will start showing in the same spot AND at the beginning.  Like so:

I don't have a problem. Sometimes if you click outside of the box but miss a button or something, technically the cursor isn't even in the text area, so when you insert an emoji it puts it in as the first piece of content.

Just saying sometimes the cursor for the insertion point is no longer in the text field. :)
