so I'm just lifting my arms in the backswing i don't have enough shoulder turn? is this correct?

Good now I feel that my shoulders are more active during the backswing!

Yes that's the idea, you want to feel more pivot "controlled". When the body stops turning, the arms will also stop loading. The elbow gets behind you when the arms aren't sequenced with the pivot. If the hips get "restrictive" and stop turning halfway back, the arms will keep going and that's when the elbow slides behind you.

@mvmac I have been working on the drill you gave me how does it look?

Tagging doesn't work in the basic editor like that. You have to write @mvmac to tag people, and they'll look like links like this: @mvmac .

BTW, that video does not show anyone working on a drill.

Ok sorry about that. I didn't do the drill in this video but I have been working on it how does this swing look?


I suggest you film yourself doing the drill. You're not going to see much stick in four to five days.

Does this swing look different from previous swings?

i think my hips have turned enough.... but my arms are getting way too long. so do i need to practice some half shots?

would u guys agree i should hit lots of half shots?

I think you need to hit a lot of shots doing the drill. Put a tee or glove in that right arm pit and hit all your shots with it in there. Heck you can even go play like that (not a competitive round).
