She's ok. I think the lifting picture is the best one I've seen so far. It's genuine, she doesn't need the makeup she normally wears. It's a real pic of a healthy and attractive woman.

I totally agree. She's all too frequently done up too much. She has a little natural beauty so let it come out naturally.

I'm not sure why she gets so much criticism. Is it because of her looks or because she makes a living doing something that most of us would like to make a living at but aren't good enough to. By all reports she is one of the hardest working golfers on the LPGA. That can't be it. So I guess it is her looks. That's nice.

Your post pretty much nailed it. Class envy. I have followed Nat G, at the LPGA Honda tournament here in Thailand. She is always very receptive to the gallery and seems to genuinely enjoy playing golf. I remember when she first went on tour she was thought to be an airhead but has certainly outgrown that assumption. Many tour players, be it male or female with only a single win do not get the same criticism. Guess it's because they lack the looks.

I think someone needs glasses.  She may not be the stuff of fashion models, but there is certainly nothing mannish about her.

OK, I think I get it.  If you squint a little, pretend like you don't see her big boobs, nice legs, round butt and long blonde hair, and picture her bald and with a penis, I can see how you might think she would look a little like a dude. :-P

I've always thought Natalie was attractive. I think one of the best things she has going for her is the way she treats fans. Although she's made a good amount of money on the golf course, I'd bet she's made more off (calenders, personal appearances, advertising). I have been frustrated at her golf career on it's own, I thought she should have won more.

      I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.

      Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
