Small progress from last year. Tad bit shallower downswing would be nice.

I’d kill for that swing. I have a downswing problem and I hope adjusting my right hand at address will help. (Baseball swing.) I hook it when I connect or hit some god awful fat shots when I don’t. Driver chippind and putting have all come together for me just the mid irons. To the point where the cam seriously considering wood type clubs from 125 yrs and out. lol

I don't love that trail elbow getting around you there, @GolfLug. You know how to work on that.

Hmm. Yes, It seems I have already have it going behind me by A2. Bit of grip work (need more in fingers) required too.

Thanks.

Half wedge to map elbow position better.

What kind of ball is that?  It does not look round, also it must not be too firm m(or your wall would not look like it does) but it does not look like foam.

It's just one half of a Callaway practice wiffle ball.

Don't roll it so quickly. Turn your body, ELEVATE the hands (by hinging UP to your right shoulder). The roll throws the club too far around you.

Tiger helping a college golfer with this one. I like how he calls swinging it too far inside "wasted motion." Inspires me to never do that again 😄

36-45 yesterday. Lost swing on the 12th the hole and couldn't troubleshoot until the 17th. Both block slices and pull hooks showed up. It's like blowing a tire cruising at 75 mph on the freeway.

It seemed right arm/hand started becoming dominant early in the DS. Maybe.

Put my left arm on top of chest, rehearsed a few slow left side rib stretch/steady head backswings and finished ok on 18th.

Murr Christmas yall.

Should I just quit worrying about the elbow for a week or so? Ya know, it being Christmas and all.

If you want to for Christmas, sure. Otherwise… no.

Good on the left (could get the elbow off your ribs more if you'd like), more chaotic and tougher to build speed in the right sequence on the right.

This could help me as well. I need to set up my phone and hitting some shots into my practice net. First things first clear the hitting area that full of dog poo

@GolfLug, buy yourself (or use if you haven't already) the Swing Extender. I think you can still find them for $29. Don't pay the $49+ I've seen them going for occasionally.

Happy New Year All!

Loosey-goosey at the top. The extender will be here in a couple of days.

Guessing, not enough torso turn/sync. Not enough hip depth. Too much arms/hands.

    • Even though you didn't score well, take solice in the fact you hit the longest drive of the year! 😏 I enjoy following your rounds and can imagine the scenario.   Thanks for sharing
    • Thank you very much for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it and your willingness to help. I'll be practicing these things and will be bringing a club with me to work as well so that I can work on it a bit throughout the day in the down time.

    • Well, crap.  Last night didn't go well. I actually hit my irons very well. Maybe too well. Flew the over the green on a couple of occasions. So, I got to the course late, therefore no warm up. Right from the car to the teebox. All the gold or yellow tees we normally play were set way back yesterday. We basically played the tips. That seemed kind of odd, but what ever.  Hole 1: Hit a great drive. Left PW to the flag. My shot never left the flag and literally came down on the top of the flag stick. (Which turned out to be a bad thing.) I three putted to bogey. Hole 2: Par 3, played long yesterday (again, from the tips), I hit hybrid off the tee. NGIR bogey on two.  Hole 3: Crushed my drive on the par-5 third. Possibly the longest drive I've hit all year... and it drew. Unfortunately I hit it where there isn't a golf course. Three from the tee, double bogey. Hole 4: I hit a great drive to the center, hit PW to about 10 feet, 2-putted, par. Yay! Hole 5: This was a mess. My tee shot found a tree, I had to punch out, then still had no angle at the green, made a double. Hole 6: Solid drive into a fairway bunker. Advanced it well, but my 3rd was a wedge which I flew long on the par-5 sixth. Fatted a chip, bogey. Hole 7: NGIR on the par 3 from way back at the tips. Chip on, 2-putt boogie. eh? Hole 8: Ugh! ... My approach flew the green and I got "sand-trapped". I tried to get cute out of the bunker, then went bunker to bunker. Made a triple. It was just sad. Hole 9: Played fine, GIR, 2-putt.  So, needless to say it was a bit disappointing.
