@iacas, so noticed from my vlog yesterday that I was not bending enough to let arms hang more freely which makes opening my palm of more difficult and makes my swing go steep to overly shallow. Hit well enough but need to work on posture.

1) Bend more

2) Let arms hang more freely (separation from body.

@iacas, will try to film something tonight if I get to the range tonight but just FYI, after 2 lunch range sessions I am finding I can weaken grip quite a bit with this set up. Entire body feels a lot more 'airy' and palm rolls open lot easier... and off all things I am hooding the face maybe between 5-10 degs at the most.  

To be honest, left forearm does not feel great but not nearly as bad as I thought. I have no confidence to bring this to the course yet but the 'door is ajar'.

No need to push that left arm too much. As you know we've never shied away from rolling with what you've got, and finding a way to "work around" it a bit.

And I put "work around" in quotes because your impact position is always pretty good, we just have to keep the path variances to a minimum.

Ok, will try not to push too much. Come a long way already from an almost upside down club address before started working with you.

FYI still making sure I stay focused on address posture. I think @DaveP043 and I have some commonality in this, IMO - arm to body separation to let them hang more naturally. Goal, as always, is to still to reduce further path loopiness/variance.

@iacas, quick update. No vids but I am finally breaking out and playing really well. Giving my arms a little more room and bending more is really helping. Can't honestly say if I am keeping my chin down with a soft neck. But am trying to be as mindful as I can.

Also, have spent about half hour last three evenings working on my pitching. I actually wrote down the steps penned in the 'Quickie pitching video' and brought them over to read while I practice. Having a hard time hinging the club up without moving the handle back, but when I do, it works well. No 1. glaring issue still. But I am cutting myself a little slack as not much grass around the greens still.

Yeah the videos are looking good.

You'll have a slightly harder time pitching just because of your grip and left arm, but the "most" you can do it, the better. I think you know what I mean there.

Had 10 mins at lunch to stop by the range and wanted to see what have I truly internalized and can execute without much though after few days of not touching a club (work travel). Sorry in a rush and didn't do slo mo.

I dunno, looks the same it always has.. ha ha. Ok, may be I can say that I see palm rolled open at A2. Both strikes were fine. I would play those all day. Posture wise I guess am still not bending sufficiently and chin still not dropping enough. Work remains. @iacas, let me know what you think if you have a moment.

I will say I want to keep slapping my head for the camera angle as club looks more across the line than it actually is. Feet to club alignment is dead on parallel in reality (I checked each time before swinging). Not as closed as it seems.

Season in full swing - have a big league group game on Sunday and completely geeked up about weekend of May 5th..

Thought I post my 3 hole vlog here. Played well as you will note. Will continue working on posture. Part of the issue I think is instinctively I end up giving more room between myself and the ball for the driver to swing through which causes me to not bend sufficiently and maybe also why I raise my chin at address. Maybe..

Don't have a video (tripod has gone missing..) but here's a scanned list of flaws that have creeped back into the swing:

1) Keys no.1 and no. 2 have gone on AWOL completely.

2) Not nearly enough roundedness in the back and neck.

3) Shoulder plane too flat because of above two. Probably not turning enough either. 

4) Right elbow slipping behind me on BS and then stuck on DS because of above three. Pizza tray spilling over forward at he top. 

A little feel note: I am finding that if I am instinctively applying any kind of shaft bending or rotating (twist) moment or on the grip at impact with my hands, there is a good chance the turning rates are stalling. This is primarily noticeable in the driver and one feel goal is to only have mostly 'sweep' forces in the impact area.

Last weekend was decent (79) but haven't been scoring all that well last few months but feel like I have been playing much better than my scores reflect. Feels I have been practicing for last few weeks: 

1) Low hands at address, especially left. Have been trying to practice keeping them low as long as possible. 

2) Back much more rounded. A slightly slumped shoulder feel seems to helps.  

3) Keep torso and top of upper arms gently close, especially right arm, as long as possible at start of backswing. 

4) Rolling the palm open much more consistently to top without unnecessary and premature arm 'lifting'. Hands still have a tendency to lift from elbows but I am finding that's very livable as long as I get a nice shoulder level pizza tray. 

I have always struggled against instinctive loopiness in my swing (lift club and drop in without really turning), but I am finding that even though I am a scatter brain and jump around a lot I have managed to not loose sight of my original lesson (OP) reduce this instinct significantly.

@iacas, this weekend I had probably the best ball striking round I have had in over a year. The difference was consciously feeling keeping hands lower (but not closer to body) at address and and almost fully rolling palm open to get to A2 much (which is much earlier than I ever have) before it got to waist level. Hands felt 'deeper'. By the time I got to A3, the club was almost falling off the back in pizza tray (again, just a feeling, but I think the right one). From here I was just able to freewheel my arms straight to the top without worrying. It seems to allow me to keep my arms in front of me and lay off the club at the top much more easily. 

Towards the end of the round I even went after the driver as hard as I could but did not lose the ball to the right or smother hook it, both symptoms of an overly inside out path AFAIK, depending on what my club-face does. The impact sensation was decidedly much more float-loady. 

I sorta discovered it previous weekend playing with @Golfingdad with his slightly over-sized grip driver (Drew graciously lent me his extra club set since I didn't travel with mine) which exaggerated the fault for the first 8 holes. I think it was harder to hinge and roll open my hand with it compared to my regular driver. I discovered that I had to slightly weaken my right hand to hinge+ roll it open without lifting/overusing my arms to take the club back to A2. 

I do need to develop a more consistent right hand position on the grip so that it's not too week or too strong, which might be the one glaring uncertainty I have in my swing for clubface control.

Yes, all we've ever tried to do with you is to get you to feel like the club is laid off so it rolls over the corner/top slightly on the downswing. You get in trouble when you get steep/across the line and it drops down to the inside on the way down (so then you swing out too much).
