Erin Hills 2015

@Jakester23 and I are going to play Erin Hills this summer.  We are probably looking at playing in July or August on a Monday.  We could use two more guys to join if you are intersted.  I am tagging @cedrictheo as a possibility to join us.  This should be a great time!  We have really been looking forward to trying this course and we will get a bunch of pictures of the course that is the future site of the 2017 US Open!

That would be very cool. Might make sense to make a couple days and two rounds or so of golf out of it if you were to do it...not sure. Maybe play Sunday somewhere and Monday at Erin or something like that.

Hi. I've been on this site for a bit now, but I very rarely involve myself in thread conversation, which I do plan on doing more. Anyways I'm from Wisconsin, and planned on playing Erin Hills last year, but no I knew one had the time or money to go with me. If you guys are comfortable with meeting new people, then this proposition does interest me.

Sure that would be great! Maybe we can get two groups out there. I did here from Cedric that he is probably in and if Erik comes we do have on group, but let's get a couple groups going. Maybe @sigfan2340 would like to join as well?

It would be cool just to meet ya so I can buy you a beer or 2 for all of your help. I wouldn't expect you to work on vacation. Well maybe just a few pointers

Looking at some dates that are out for me and for the course.  The 6th of july is out for me as I might be playing in a tournament that day.  Also it is a holiday weekend and some guys would have to travel potentially on the 4th or 5th and that would not be ideal.  The WI State Am is actually going on during the week of July 20th so that would be out for us as well.  So for July that leaves the 13th or the 27th if we are going to do it on a Monday.  For August I just can't do it the first week, as I have some business related crap going on that week.

So I am open July 13th and 27th, and August 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st.  Those are all the Mondays.

My thought was that I could take anyone that wanted to come out to my home club Sunday(I could probably make it fairly cheap) as well to get a couple rounds of golf out of it.  Or we could go to another course if you wanted to try something different.  Maybe grill some stuff or go out for dinner Sunday night for anyone who wanted.

Let me know what you guys are thinking and what you would like to do?  I would like to reserve a tee time or times as soon as we can figure out who is coming and when we can do this.

I have to check my work schedule, but I'm certain 1 or 2 of those dates would work for me. If not, I could always move things around so I could get off whenever we decide to go.

Sounds good guys.  I will wait a week or two to see if anyone else is interested so we can try and lock down a date, then I will call in a tee time for us.

Ok, my game is not worth Erin Hills but I am in depending on the date! I am buying a new house (trying to find one now) but should be in and set before July 1st. Let me know the date and I should be good. I may even be able to get a couple other local guys to join in if we need to fill foursomes.

Sounds good!  For right now I am kind of leaning towards August 10th.  However, it depends on what everyone can do.  I am not sure is should be too close to September, and Early July can be a bit rainy.  Also the 27th of July may not be the best because the course could be a bit beat up from the Sate Amateur from the week before.  August 10th sounds pretty good to me.  I will wait to see what others think though.

We are still waiting to hear from @cedrictheo , and @iacas attending may be a bit unlikely.

I would also call my home club and see if we could play there on the 9th as well.  It would be fun because we would play two VERY different courses over the two days.  I have a couple free guest passes that would reduce the cost for guys. It is normally only about $45-50 to play anyway, but would be less if I use those passes.

If you do end up coming we can easily get to two groups I think. I know a couple other people that could fill spots if we needed them to.

Haha.  Hopefully we can get two groups and kind of place people in each group that would be better suited to play from a certain tee box.  Maybe we can do one group from the whites or greens, and one group at the greens or blues.  No point in playing the blacks at 7820...
