I've been Playing Golf for: Combined time maybe 2 years

My current handicap index or average score is: 10

My typical ball flight is: high fade

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: hooking my drive

Say something credible and I will fix it. Thanks for your help

I will continue to post more, with better angles

The 45 degree face on, and the butt view down the line are not easy for analysis.

These guidelines should give you a better idea of how to film your swing

From the thread above, your lower back "S-curve" posture looks like the left (bad example, exaggerated) more than the right (good example). Perhaps see what elements from the Golf Posture thread link above you can take onboard.

Also, at impact, it doesn't appear that your hips or shoulders are open to the target line very much. You can search here for threads on the best impact positions, and find where your hips/shoulders should be.

The angles on these videos are not ideal though, so you won't get the top instructors here really analyzing much. If you get some better vids up, you might gather more useful stuff. Good luck! (I'm mostly a hacker, so take my suggestions with grain of salt. You just seemed itching to get some feedback, so I pointed you in a direction to start with: posture).

Zachary, good first attempt. Get better lighting and angles if you cam. Take your time, enjoy your youth.

Agree with @RandallT , fix that posture. Going to save your back and make some of the pivot stuff easier, especially with getting more open, standing up less on the downswing (where the hooks are coming from).

Posture looks a lot better.

Would like to see the pivot "carry" the arms during the backswing. Your hands work away from you early in the takeaway and that rolls the forearms, leads the club to load shallow on the backswing and then you have to "steepen" it on the downswing.

Note the amount of space between your upper left arm and your chest and the club position compared to the right pic. Don't lose that connection on the takeaway, maintaining it will help the arms work with the pivot.

    • Day 444 - 2025-12-18 Light day of hotel room work. GEARS Summit v2.0 today. Good day.
    • Day 38 (18 Dec 25) - got out in the backyard with grandson this afternoon.  We got into a little game of pitching the ball from about 25yds to a target point just off the asphalt lane behind the backyard.  Goal - just clear it with a quick hop and stop.  Focused on using the wedge swing motion I was talking with the course pro yesterday….smooth and thru just bruising the grass.  In addition to a concentrated focus on technique, it also called for a quiet mind locked in on target point.  Rehearsed this with both the 50° and 55° wedges.
    • I listened to the Shaun Webb one about the swing coach app. Sounds like a great thing and will (hopefully) be very useful for me. I do think the hosts are underestimating where AI could be in a few years. Right now it's just regurgitating stuff that it has been told or it has scrubbed from somewhere else and a human guiding things will be quite a lot more helpful than just the AI, but it's going to keep developing and it will reach the stage where it's figuring this stuff out on its own. Time will come when it will have you do a TPI style screen and take various height/arm length/leg length etc. measurements, have you tell it some history and your time constraints and goals and what not and it will watch a video of your swing face on and DTL and it will know exactly what you need to work on.
    • I found it entertaining, but the announcing was lousy.  How did the measuring on the final shot start with Rory being closer and being told he won, and then with no explanation it turns out Scottie won?  Weird.
    • Day 128 12-18 Worked on rotation and getting to lead side. Still working on the flow feeling while doing that. Recorded swings.
